Felix huffed and crossed his arms over his chest, grumbling so softly that Minho could hardly hear him.
"Why can Hyunjin already see everything? Do he and Changbin have such a fluctuating dynamic that in just a month they've experienced so many things together?"
"Do you want to try speeding the emotions up, Felix? They might not be as genuine, so the colors wouldn't be as clear, according to Wikipedia," Minho said. "We can still try, though."
Felix sighed and uncrossed his arms, intertwining his fingers with Minho's. They stood in the corner of a chaotic nightclub, watching couples dance under the pulsing light.
Throughout their time together, getting to know, like, and trust one another in the past month, only one color had reached either's awareness. Minho had found pink after a sad movie night, when he'd comforted a crying Felix. As they stood, only a few colored lights weren't white.
"That one is pink," Minho informed Felix, noting the boy's confused expression. "I'm really frustrated that you don't see pink yet."
Felix shoved minho weakly, laughing. "Not your fault."
Minho shrugged, brushing the comment aside. They both knew that, technically, it was his fault. But nothing could be changed unnaturally. "Want a dance?"
"A dance? In public? In a night club? Lee Minho, have you met me?"
"That's nonsense; everyone wants to dance. You wouldn't have agreed to come if you didn't feel the tug in your abdomen, that desire to simply release everything in unregulated movement."
"Well, since you worded it so poetically... I guess. Sorry for your toes, in advance."
"They say it's fine." Minho pulled Felix onto the rowdy dance floor, the multicolored squares only half-making sense.
They never let go of the other's hand, giggling as they tried to stay together through the crowd pulling them apart.
"You're a good club dancer, Felix. Why didn't you want to—okay, never mind."
"You said your toes wouldn't get mad," Felix pouted. Embarrassed, he continued carefully, keeping his feet a respectful distance from minho's.
Minho began laughing, unbridled by the general conforms of public manners. It echoed, pure and joyful, making Felix begin laughing, too. In their glee, neither realized a change around them.
Only as they left, supporting two very drunk soulmates, did Felix notice the new color.
"Minho, purple."
The two words wouldn't have made sense to many other people, but, to the pair of soulmates, it was yet another step in the right direction.
Minho blinked, looking at the flashing lights they were leaving behind him.
"I see it, too, Lix."
