Your P.O.V
You think this is a romantic gesture?
(Also the chocolate still isn't from me.)The note left in my locker made me remember a conversation I had almost forgotten about, it had ended in me telling Garroth he was infact good at romantic gestures and then me pinching his cheek.
I moved Garroth's neat written note aside and looked at the full sized Hershey's bar that casually layed in my locker. I picked up the chocolate bar and threw it into my back pack without paying any more attention to it. I did the same with my social studies text book before I walked off to math.
I walked straight to Mrs. Burke's desk without setting my things down at my desk. Mrs. Burke stared from her papers to her computer like I wasnt standing in front of her. It was an awkward amount of time before Mrs Burke let out a frustrated sigh and looked up at me thoughtfully with her hands together.
"How long do you think it will be before I can stop tutoring Gene," I cleared my throat, "are his grades getting better?" Mrs Burke looked slightly frustrated.
"I haven't updated grades in the past few weeks." I wasnt surprised, Mrs Burke always seemed like the last person to update grades. Mrs Burke must have seen the disapointed look on my face because she looked down but then continued to speak. "I do know that you have been helping his grades, so I supose you don't have to continue to tutor him."
"Thank you." I said tightening my grip on my things, wanting to do something with my arms.
"Do you not get along with Gene?" Mrs. Burke asked, she was straightening her papers now.
"Kinda." I shrugged, other then the whole black mail thing then I don't think Gene has really ever done anything to not get along with me. He does seem to be pushy in almost everything he does, but that seems like it's one of his traits.
"Okay, you can head to your seat Y/N." Mrs Burkes seemed like she had been rushing the whole conversation so I was surprised she had even considered my question, or maybe she only did because she's ready to be done with the day.
I set my things down on my desk, and walked around to the side of the chair where I could sit the weight of my things, although they were not that heavy, could have tipped the desk over at any moment.
"What was that about." Katelyn seemed mostly uninterested in the question she just asked, she most likely already knew it had been about me turoring Gene.
"I don't have to tutor Gene any longer." I said.
"Are you gonna keep that from Garroth too." Katelyn was smirking.
"Haha, very funny." I said shooting her a look and then leaning my head on my hand.
"I know." Katelyn was laughing now, "I crack myself up."
"At least you make someone laugh." I said turning away from Katelyn and watching the last of the student coming into the classroom, and then getting sculded for being late.

"I don't have to tutor Gene any more." I was still slightly out of breath after running a mile around the baseball field. I sat down in the rocks next to Garroth who had run much faster than me and therefore finnished before me.
Garroth looked up at me like he hadn't seen me coming even though I'm pretty sure he did. He had his back against the wooden post that held up a playground building above the ground. Laurance, Travis, and Dante were both laying on the top of the building with their heads and arms dangling off of the side.
