(For those that were confused about the Jenna whatever you do line, it's just supposed to be a more adult/blunt way of her saying don't get back with Kaycee/ your ex)

(the F word was just a stand-in for other words that could be used but, in my mind, I felt that word would be used more commonly as they're grown adults now plus in the story, Sean and Jenna were in a relationship and they would be more open about sex and such)

(I can see where some of the confusion came from so sorry about that)

Flashback

Some random Wednesday

Sean's car outside the Rice house

"Man, I hope this works," Sean said to himself as Kaycee approaches the car

"Hey, Sean!" Kaycee said as she entered the car and reached over to give him a hug

"Ready?" Sean said as Kaycee nodded

Sean started driving towards the location as Kaycee set up her music to Sean's car, it didn't take long as she's been in his car multiple times now and by the time, they left her neighborhood they were cruising to Kaycee's playlist

"So where are we going Shamu?" Kaycee asked "We're not dancing as you would have set bringing my dancing stuff"

"We're not dancing" Sean confirmed and kept driving

"Then where are we going, Sean?" Kaycee asked

"It's a surprise," Sean said

"I don't like your surprises," Kaycee said

"I thought you loved them?!" Sean said shocked as he never knew

"Remember my surprise lunch," Kaycee said

"How am I supposed to remember you can't eat nuts," Sean said

"I told you before," Kaycee said "That's just one of those things you have to always remember if you want to continue... This..."

There was a brief silence as you can say they were dating as they been on 'dates' but no one has officially asked the other to be boyfriend and girlfriend

"Well I remembered every day since," Sean said as Kaycee rolled her eyes but just couldn't help but smiled at him

"So where are we going?" Kaycee asked again

"You keep asking that and I'm never going to answer," Sean said

"Fine" Kaycee said crossing her arms and pouting like a child as Sean just laughed "Can you at least tell me if this is a date or just a hangout thing"

The difference being a hangout can have an additional one or more people like Bailey tags along or Josh and Julian were the ones inviting Sean out and he grabs Kaycee to go with him because he wants her there

Whereas a date is just them no matter what they do together even if it's just something like Kaycee being Sean's ride back home

Ever since Kaycee kissed him, they have been doing these dates and hangouts as a way to test the waters as not everyone could date their best friend without it being weird or change things between them
