Little: Xiao Jun (age range non verbal-5)
Caregiver: Hendery

Xiao Jun thought today was going to be a great day. He was supposed to have a play date with YangYang but he was sick so he couldn't come over. Xiao Jun was sad that his best friend couldn't come over so he stayed in his room waiting to see if YangYang would suddenly come through the door yelling "Just Kidding" but it never happened. Hendery noticed the sad look on his Little's face, so he went up to him.

Hendery: "JunJun, can you tell Dada what's wrong? "

Xiao Jun: "I sad dat Yangie not hewe."

Hendery: "I'm sorry JunJun. Can Dada play with you so you can be happy? "

Xiao Jun: "Can chu pwease. I wonely. "

Hendery: "What do you wanna play with? "

Xiao Jun: "Can chu get my tigew pwushie pwease? "

Hendery: "Sure thing. "

Hendery gave the tiger to Xiao Jun and watched in awe as the little squeezed it tightly.

Hendery: "How old are you JunJun? "

Xiao Jun tilted his head to the side as if he didn't understand. Hendery took this as a sign that he was non verbal and picked him up. Hendery grabbed his paci, he put it in the Little's mouth.

Hendery went to the kitchen to grab a bottle. Xiao Jun made grabby hands at a tiger one.

Hendery made the bottle and went back upstairs and laid him and the little down. He sang to Xiao Jun, who was struggling to stay awake. The little eventually gave in and went to sleep feeling protected by his caregiver/boyfriend.
