Adlyn looked exhausted. Thank God there was a guest room on the main floor. Eve wasn't in the mood to haul Adlyn and her chair up the stairs. Instead, she pushed Adlyn to the guest room.
Once there, she put the brakes on Adlyn's chair and told her what she was going to do; then she lifted her into the bed and set her communication book nearby.
I. Can't. Move. My. Legs. That. Good. You. Know.
"You want help?"
Um. Not. Yet.
After awhile of painfully figuring out how she would do it, Adlyn was finally comfortable and Eve climbed in beside her and cuddled her.
"If I could I would switch places with you, and go through your hell for a day... I wish I knew what it was like... Is it really hell? I mean, is it that bad?"
Yeah. I. Can't. Move. On. My. Own. And. Everything's. Hard. And. It's. He'll. At least. For. Now.
Eve smiled. Adlyn didn't have the word hell in her communication book so she used he'll.
"You're smart, you know."
