Chapter 16

~Yrah's POV

The night came and so the anniversary party of my godparents.

After that, Black never touch me again in any manner. He wouldn't hold even my arms!

He brought me my dress and shoes. Even the hair stylists are his. So, I never bothered complaining since this may be the last thing he could do for me before we depart.

"I can't believe you didn't even contact us the whole day, Yrah. We've been discussing if we'll come since we received an invitation, because we want you to come first!"

Bulyaw sa'kin ni Avon nang nagkita kami sa entrance pa lang ng bahay nina Black.

Unlike his own house in the Deluxe Village, their house is even bigger. Like an ancestral house in the province.

"Bakit niyo pa kasi ako hinihintay? At paano kung ayaw ko palang um-attend? Ayaw niyo rin?"

"Oo. Ikaw kasi eh, you're the goddaughter and you wouldn't come?"

"Of course I will. I just...rested," I lied. I don't want to share our deal.

"Ganun? Sa apartment mo? E si Hera kasama namin. Sabi 'di niya raw alam kung nasaan ka," sabi naman ni Astrid.

"Ah, hindi sa apartment. Basta, sa dati naming bahay."

Tumango-tango naman sila. Magsasalita pa sana ako nang may isang lalaking asul ang mga mata, matangkad, matangos ang ilong at gwapo ang lumapit kay Astrid.

"Babe, you're just here pala. I've been looking for you for hours now!" The gorgeous man exclaimed and just hugged Astrid, shocking me and Avon.

Nagkatinginan pa kaming dalawa at hindi makapaniwalang may ibang lalaking kayakap ang married friend namin.

And what? Babe?!

"Arcanus! N-Nandito ka rin?" Parang gulat pang tanong ni Astrid na palingon-lingon sa'min.

Ngumiti ang lalaki at hinalikan siya sa pisngi dahilan para malaglag ang panga ko.

The hell?!

"Yeah. I'm invited too. And so I come since I saw your name in the invitation too. I'm excited to see you," anang lalaki na mas lalong napanganga samin ni Avon.

"A-Astrid?" Avon called, stammering.

Astrid then faced us with a wide and genuine smile. That I'd never witnessed before! Even when she's with his husband!

So, what's this?

"Oh? I forgot to introduced him to you... Arcanus Sandigo. My best friend."

"Hello, ladies. Nice meeting you."

Agad nagbaba ng kamay si Arcanus at ngumiti. Avon and I exchanged glances as we accepted his hand one by one.

Then we spotted Summit Alcantraz and Noriel and Black coming in dash!

Agad nagtama ang aming paningin ni Black. Naka-itim siyang suit at red necktie. Black slack and hair was comb to the left side.

His eyes then went down to my attached hand to Arcanus.

"That's Yrah and this is Avon. Mga kaibigan ko," pagpapakilala ni Astrid na hindi pa nakikita ang pagdating ng tatlo.

"Astrid," the thunderous voice of Summit surfaced, making my friend jump a little.

Biglang bumigat ang atmosphere at napangiwi na lang ako. May iilan pang mga kaibigan nila Black ang lumapit sa'min at nag-asaran na.

"Lord Arcanus, you're here pala?! Buti at di ka natraffic sa himpapawid," ani Cavex.
