After two more weeks of abuse, I was finally headed back to camp. I've been counting down the days, and I'm finally going to see everyone I've missed for the past three weeks. I wake up after one of the worst nights of abuse I've faced in months, and I feel like I can't get up from bed. My joints feel locked, as every muscle in my body is tight and sore. It feels like someone took a chicken beater to my entire body.

Even with all this pain, I make myself get up out of bed. I put on leggings and a US soccer sweatshirt, before grabbing my suitcase already packed ready to go next to my bedroom door. Right before leaving, I remember to grab my phone and a pair of earbuds. I feel my phone buzz in my hand, as I receive a text.

Pinoe: hey, I'm outside, hurry up!

Me: I'm coming, relax!

Robert still passed out on the couch from a late night of heavy drinking making it easy to slip out unnoticed. I see Pinoe with her platinum blonde hair, leaning against what I assume is our ride. The minute I step out of my house, I see her running up to me. A smile spreads on my face before we collide into a hug. "I missed you," I confess.

"Missed you too, Rookie," Pinoe says pulling me into a side hug, as she grabs my suitcase for me.

She quickly throws it into the back, before saying, "Just grab the passenger side."

"Ok," I say, before opening the door to get in the car.

Before I can even comprehend what's happening, I hear someone yelling from behind me, "Boo!" I don't jump, as I don't get scared easily. I turn to see none other than Allie Long sitting in the backseat, as Pinoe gets in the car. "She didn't even flinch," Allie says shocked and clearly disappointed.

"I told you," Pinoe says shrugging, "The girl doesn't get scared, I tried at the last camp."

I laugh before asking Pinoe, "You knew she was going to try and scare me?"

"Yup, pretty much," Pinoe says, as she pulls away from my house.

I turn to the blonde in the back to introduce myself, seeing as she wasn't at the January camp,

"I'm Cathryn Johnson, by the way. Everyone calls me Ryn."

"Or CJ!" Pinoe yells.

"Pinoe, not before coffee," I cringe at her volume at such an early hour in the morning.

I hear Allie laughing in the back, "Agreed, also I know all about you." I turn around and shoot her a confused look. "You do know I'm like best friends with Alex, right?"

"Right," I say putting two and two together, nodding my head in understanding.

"But I'm Allie," she says with a smile.

"I know," I say with a smirk, before turning back to Pinoe, "Sooo, about that coffee?"

Pinoe just chuckles shaking her head, "We're already running late to the airport, but if we have time once we get through security then sure."

"Yes!" I say my fist shoots up in victory, as the two older players chuckle at me.

After almost missing our flight because of Allie and I's coffee orders, all three of us were on our way to Tampa, Florida for my second camp. The flight went pretty quickly, as I rushed through homework I'm supposed to complete over the entirety of camp. It isn't my best work, but I know if it doesn't get done now it never will.

Before I know it, the plane with a few bumps makes its landing on the ground. Thankfully, Allie, Pinoe, and I are near the front of the plane, so we get off quickly. Once I turn my phone back on, I see notifications flood my screen. I open my messages first, as I walk through the tunnel and out of the gate. I open Emily's texts first, seeing as her messages are at the top.
