this place is filled with smoke

we stared into the night sky
without moon and stars in sight
you chew your green mint gum and offer me some
while you are ranting about this metaphorical existence and how you don't believe in my God
I look down on the green gum on my hands
and said, this gum looks like you
you stopped talking and ask me why
I said, "its coating looks so tough and has a good look too"
your lips turn into a smug grin, and I continue talking
"but when you forcefully crash it down, the inside are sweet and soft"
you laugh, a genuine one I suppose
I looked up and see the missing stars to the sky, it is in your eyes
my heart skips a beat
as you get close to me and kiss my lips
I taste the green mint gum on our kiss
how you said you're thankful that I exist
and how I make you believe that I am your missing piece and we were meant to be in this place full of uncertainty
