Not other than the fact Kiara was their only child and that The Wreck — their restaurant— was a big tourist hit. Sonny never tried to learn anything else.
She'd eaten there a few times, but it was ages ago.
Her parents were big fans, sometimes renting the space to throw parties and business events, but Sonny didn't really go with them often. There'd never been a real reason to. It had always felt awkward when Kiara was there. You know— since she was a Pogue, despite her parents' wishes, and Sonny was considered Kook Royalty. Even if they weren't in each other's presence for long, and even if the place had a good vibe and ever better food, it still felt weird. Like she was invading their territory, or something.
Sonny decided it was easier to steer clear.
And yet, there she was— climbing out of the twinkie and about to head into The Wreck for the first time in ages, and with Kiara Carrera at her side. How fucking weird was that?
