Mockingjays and The Woods

Are you? Are you? Coming to the tree?
Where they strung up a man, they say who murdered three.
Strange things did happen here,

If we met at midnight in the Hanging Tree.

The Mockingjays repeat the tune to that song to me, and to confuse them I decide to switch songs.

The Mockingjays adapted to my change of song well, and I hear a little girl giggle. I look over to where the giggle came from, and see Peeta with a little girl. I smile at the sight of them both, and decide not to sing The Hanging Tree. The Girl hands me a piece of paper on it, and it has lyrics written on it.

I try the song out, and it is not too bad. It is something Dad would sing. Peeta grabs a sandwich for her, and she runs off. "Her name was Lucy Ivory," he shrugs, then continues. "That's all she told me."

In the evening I decide to teach Peeta The Hanging Tree. He stumbles at first, but adjusts, and he can sing it well by 6:30. "Katniss," he says, and I look at him. "I wanna start a family."
