promise

just like the Sun that seems Promising
to show off its light all day and all night
but he never promised that every part of the earth would receive its attention.

just like you
who promised that you will never leave
and its true that you never left
but your attention just went off to someone else.

just like how the rainbow would come after every rain
promising a beautiful ending after every pain
but rainbow never promised to stay
we just think it will always be there.

and that's how we see this life
waiting and hoping for all the promises to be kept
but promises are meant to be broken
giving ourselves a high expectation that people will never leave and we will never be alone

how cruel this world is
that by the end of the day
you only need You
to pick yourself up from this cruelty

its only you that could understand your pain
its only you that could remove yourself from this misery
and its only you that could make yourself happy

only if you lower down your expectations on someone
only if you expect high on yourself
only if you know your worth
and only if you know that everything you do is only for your own goods

To be or not to be,
that is a Question.
