I don't understand
The design of it all
Of how you and me
Fits perfectly
Only to fall apart
When someone's heart
Is meant to depart
And not stay long enough
When it all gets rough
I guess I'll never know
Why we met that day
Why I smiled at you
Why we talked and laugh
When everything is already perfect
I guess it will remain a mystery forever
How you caught my eye
How we danced all night
How we looked at stars
How we felt was true
When it was never meant to be
Perhaps
It's a faulty design
And you were never mine
But I want to know why
How every single time
When I look in your eyes
I always believed you were truly mine to keep
