So, precursor, yes, hi😂

This morning I read jojolennon 's album of the week in her I Can Hear Music story and it was about Tommy by the Who. If you haven't read dat book, 10/10 would recommend😌

Basically, she went into the whole story and talked about it, and I had never really read up on it, so of course, I found it fascinating and decided to find MORE details, so I got a cup of sweet tea, got a chicken up on my window, put the record on, and went on a search.

And, I'd like to say...WHY TF DID SOMEONE THINK THIS WAS OKAY😳😳😳😭😂

Like, Pete, how tf did it suddenly get so dark😭😂

It's a fantastic story, though...not the story itself because that is terrible, but like, y'know, the quality. ITS WELL WRITTEN, let's say that😂

And now I'm explaining it to all my friends because I'm so excited about understanding it

I read a Rolling Stone article that was actually an interview that Pete did in 1969 when the album first came out, and it was fascinating. Like, I really wish I could put a link to it here, but apparently you can't do that on Wattpad so I dunno. It was called "Townshend On 'Tommy': Behind the Who's Rock Opera" and looks like that ☟︎ so you can search it up that way I suppose.

Anyways, Pete goes into extreme detail about all of it and it's fascinating. I had only listened to it twice all the way through before, but I did listen again to, y'know really listen, and as I read the lyrics and put everything together, I enjoyed it so much more ehe

Like, I was really glad that the record comes with a booklet with all of the lyrics and who's meant to be saying them, because I would have never been able to understand it otherwise.

Also, I don't know how I didn't realize what "Fiddle About" was actually implying until now?? Like it's so blunt, but it just kinda went over my head I guess. I wasn't really looking for it, so that might have had something to do with it.

But like

What a story.

It was so sad but so well-done?

And oh god I can never listen to "Fiddle About" again😭😂

I haven't watched the movie yet because I'm scared but my god
