i know that this story is on hold, but as of august 28th, many of us are grieving the loss of an amazing actor and human being, chadwick boseman.
i cannot begin to explain the heaviness that consumes me when i think about his passing, but we know this: his legacy will continue on forever.
he not only carried the mantle of the black panther in the marvel cinematic universe, but contributed to so many other stories on screen, such as portraying thurgood marshall and jackie robinson.
he was so fucking talented, so inspirational, and yet so young. he proves that wisdom and grace does not begin with age.
he is a true hero to us all, especially to the Black community. my heart mourns the loss of such a beautiful soul who played pivotal roles and fought for human rights, while battling an extreme form of colon cancer.
i cannot thank him enough for the joy he has brought me during his time on this earth. he truly exemplified what it means to be a loving human.
the world will never be the same, but we will remember chadwick, cherish him, and make sure his legacy lives on.
rest in power, chadwick. thank you.
