We laughed our heads off as we stumbled back into our apartment and threw ourselves onto the bed.
Me: "Ahh Jeno you're the best."
Jeno: "No you are Y/N."
Me: "Shush you are."
Jeno: "Don't be crazy you're the best."
Me: "No you-"
Jeno: "No you. End of convo. You're the best. Deal with that fact for the rest of your life now Ms L/N."
Me: "You deal with it too Mr Lee."
Jeno: "Shush."
I chuckled at him as he took his blazer off and intended on hanging it up like he always did. As he walked to hang his blazer, he tripped and turned on the radio we had. The romantic melodious music filled the room and what was at first undying laughter echoing the walls was now soft slow music that felt somewhat nostalgic. I peered up at Jeno who was still fixing himself from the sudden fall. His eyes landed on me, sparkling with a glistening stare. He stepped closer to me and took a hold of my hand.
Jeno: "May I?"
Me: "May I what?"
Jeno: "Dance with you."
Me: "I'm still in heels-"
He shook his head in disapproval and cut me off almost immediately.
Jeno: "It doesn't matter. If you fall I will catch you. If you die I will die with you-"
I put a finger to his lips with a stern expression plastered to my face.
Me: "Don't say things like that."
Jeno moved my finger and held it like a baby playing with a toy.
Jeno: "This finger can't make me quiet L/N. You also know we both have to die one day."
Me: "That day hasn't come yet so stop talking about stuff like that."
Jeno chuckled seeing me slightly upset as to how lightly he was taking death to be.
Me: "Death separates us... you know that..."
Jeno: "I know but who's to say we won't meet again in our other life?"
Me: "What if we don't..."
Jeno: "I'll make sure I meet you."
Me: "And how's that?"
Jeno: "I'll go everywhere looking for Y/N L/N my one and only lover."
Me: "Can I tell you something?"
Jeno: "Of course."
Me: "Don't take this lightly."
He paused and stared at my worried state.
Me: "Tomorrow is never guaranteed, you know that right?"
Jeno: "Of course I do."
Me: "Then why do you keep joking around with topics such as death?"
Jeno's gaze softened as he saw me slip a tear. Pulling me into a hug, he stroked my back and ran his fingers through my hair.
Jeno: "I'm sorry."
I sighed and hugged him tighter, still miserably pouting and a tad bit upset.
Me: "Don't joke about this again."
Jeno: "I'm sorry honey I promise I won't. Now then..."
We stopped hugging each other and he held my hand like a prince.
He was a prince.
My prince.
Jeno: "Would you like to dance m'lady?"
Me: "I most certainly would."
I held him as the music continued to play in the background, resonating in our ears like a sweet lullaby. We danced, allowing ourselves to be one rhythmically.
I loved this man so much.
How did I ever manage to make him mine?
Jeno: "I think this is the perfect time to say this."
We continued to slowly move to the beat.
Me: "Mhm?"
Jeno: "I'm so happy you exist."
I smiled widely to myself and looked up at him to see the same expression on his face.
Me: "Ahh how do you make me smile so easily?"
Jeno: "The way you make me smile easily."
Me: "Well I have something to tell you too then."
Jeno: "Do tell Madam."
Me: "I-"
Before I could even finish a few words, I twisted my foot and dropped onto the bed with Jeno, still holding onto him. I opened one eye slowly to find him admiring me.
Jeno: "Do tell Madam even if we're like this."
Me: "I love you."
Jeno: "I love you too."
Me: "Shall we keep dancing or?"
Jeno: "I think it's best you take your heels off now m'lady."
Me: "I think so too my prince."
Jeno: "Prince? I'm flattered."
I chuckled at his flustered expression as I took my heels off and placed them aside.
Me: "So then, where were we?"
Jeno: "Do you want another song?"
Me: "It's like you can almost read my mind."
Jeno quickly trudged towards the radio and changed the soft melodious tune to an upbeat hip hop song.
Jeno: "You know what to do."
Me: "And so do you."
We laughed as he came back and began to dance uncontrollably with me.
If only moments like these could last forever.
