Chapter 11

Third Person's POV

"Y/n, be careful!" his mother said as she watch his son playing on the slides

"But mom it's fun!" he laughed as he crawl his way up unaware that there's also another kid who's going down

The two collided and Y/n hits his face on the ground that made a wound on his face

"Y/n! Oh my god, are you okay!?" his mother rushed to his side and checked his face

There was blood gushing out of the wound, she removed her scarf and pressed it down his wound

"What did I told you?" she asked, her son looked down with a pout and muttered a soft apology

She sighed as they both went home to clean his wound, after cleaning she noticed that the wound looked like a Cresent moon which amazed her a bit

"Mom? Why do I keep dreaming the same dream all the time?" he suddenly speak startling his mother

"What's your dream about?" she asked as she finished bandaging his cheek

"It's about a boy named.. Monjiro? Something like that, he kept calling me over and over.. It's weird cause it feels so real" He said, his mother stayed quiet

"Maybe it's because you watched the same cartoons that why you kept having the same dream over and over again." she said, her son pouted and continued playing with his plush toy

Y/n's mother was sitting on a chair outside the room where Y/n is

Kagaya goes out to buy something to eat and drink since they both haven't eaten anything yet

The door to Y/n's room opens up and a doctor came out, his mother stood up as she looked at the doctor hoping to tell her that his son is okay

"T-Tamayo-san.." she said

Tamayo motioned for her to sit down, she obeyed and Tamayo sat down beside her

His mother was starting to get anxious as time goes by, Tamayo sighed and placed a hand on top of her shoulder

"Ms. L/n, your son is in terrible condition right now, the veins have started to crawl its way up to his heart which made him to hyperventilate." She said, his mother looked at her with confused expression

"I believe your son didn't tell you anything?" she asked, his mother nodded

Tamayo sighed.

"Ma'am, your son is suffering from hanahaki disease, the only cure for this kind of disease is by surgery the flower growing inside of him must remove before it goes to his heart and kills him" She said, his mother's eyes widened and she starts to sob

Inside the room was Y/n, there were a lot of stuffs that are connected to him, beside him he can hear his heart monitor beeping rather slowly

"What.. Happened?" he asked as he looked at his surroundings, everything was white

"I'm sure hell ain't in heaven.." He muttered the chuckled dryly at his own joke

"Why didn't you tell me?" He was startled and looked at his side to see his mother looking at him with worried eyes

"I don't want to burden you." he said

His mother scoffs and sat beside him.

"I'm your mother, you're my son my responsibility, whatever is happening to you right now is my responsibility, because I should be the one taking care of you until the day I die." she said as tears ran down her cheeks

Y/n couldn't help it but to let his tears fall down as well

"I don't want to die, mom" He sob, her mother pulled her closer and wrapped her arms around him

"Neither do I, I don't want to lose you..." She said

The door opened up and doctor Tamayo came along with three male nurses

His mother pulled away and planted a kiss on top of his head before stepping back

"What's going on?" he asked

"We need to talk to you it's about your situation." Tamayo said

His mother left the room along with the nurses

"Y/n, the flower inside of you is starting to crawl its way up to your heart and if that's happen you'll-" she was cut off

"I'll die.. I know" He said as if he's not bothered by it

"So I'm suggesting you to have a special surgery, it may cost you but it'll save you from death" She said

Y/n looked down at his lap and fidgeted with the blanket

"What will happen after that?" he asked

A hand was placed on top of his, he looked up and saw Tamayo giving him a sad smile

"After the surgery you'll be able to get the flowers out, and your feelings towards the person who you love will disappear as well, it's like a restart." she said

Y/n pulled his hand away as he looked at her in the eye and smiled, Tamayo thought that he was happy to finally be free from suffering but she was wrong

"If that's the case.. Then.." he trailed off as he continued to smile

"I'd rather die loving him than losing my feelings."
