Chapter 13

Third Person's POV

"Y/n! Here's your costume." Aoi handed him a very fancy looking costume

"The play is next week, why are you giving this to me already?" He asked

"well the president told me to hand everyone each other's costume." She muttered while looking away and focused her attention into something--Someone rather

Y/n got curious and followed her gaze and it landed on Sumihiko whos busy admiring his costume

He ignored the pain from his lungs as he rolled his eyes and walked away

"don't get distracted damnit" he growled lowly as he rubbed his face with his hand

"Y/n-kun!"

'Am I hearing things or what-'

In front of Y/n was a girl running at full speed, she was smiling widely as tears ran down her cheek

"Ume!?, What are you- OOF!" he was cut off when suddenly Ume threw herself towards Y/n tackling him to the ground

"Waaah! I thought you died! Mom told me that you were hospitalized! I was so worried!" She cried

Y/n sighed and managed to pull his 'Sister' off of him, Ume pouted as she was torn away from his precious brother

"I can't believe you just embarrassed me." Y/n muttered while dusting his clothes off

Ume pouted and crossed her arms

"Well I'm sorry for being genuinely worried for my dearest brother!" She yelled causing it to echoed through the entire theatre

"Why are you here anyways? Aren't you supposed to be with gyu-nii in college?" He asked completely annoyed

"Wow..he's not even your brother by blood and you give him honorifics, why I don't get any!?" She asked completely annoyed by Y/n's attitude

"Uhm.. Y/n?" Y/n turned and saw Sumihiko looking at him with a worried expression

"Is everything okay?" he asked

As y/n was about to answer he was pushed aside by his sister.

"Ooh!? You looked familiar! Have we met?.. Are you and Y/n dati-" Ume was cut off when y/n shoved her off causing her to stumble a bit, she gave Y/n a glare

"Shut up, and yes everything's okay." His eyes softened once he looked at Sumihiko

"O-okay then.." Sumihiko said as he turned his heels and was about to leave when Y/n grabbed his wrist stopping him

"Sumihiko.. I.." Y/n hesitated

'Just tell him already!.. Why can't I.. Tell him that I love him.. What's stopping me?'

"What is it?" Sumihiko asked as he turned to look towards Y/n

"I.. I.. I'm gonna leave early so please tell them that I went home with my sister.." Y/n let go's of Sumihiko' s wrist and gave him a smile

His heart were screaming, begging for sumihiko's love.. But sumihiko couldn't hear if nor feel it..

Sumihiko is already moving on..

Y/n was walking beside his sister on their way home

It was cloudy and windy, Y/n took off his blazer and placed it on top of his sister's Shoulder

"Thanks." She muttered, y/n hummed in response and walked ahead

"Y/n, I have a question." She said stopping, Y/n stopped as well and turned to his sister who's looking at him with worried expression

"I heard what happened.." She said, Y/n raised an eyebrow

"The disease.. Mom told me everything.." She continued

Y/n sighed and gave Ume a reassuring smile which made Ume to tear up

"I'll be fine, it'll go away like a cold so don't worry" he grin

"Please..dont die-" Ume was stopped when suddenly it began to rain

"uh-oh.. We need to get going!" Y/n said as he grabbed his sister's wrist and ran their way towards their home

After a minute of running they both arrived home, Y/n was soaking wet while Ume was dry thanks to the blazer Y/n gave her

"We're home!" Y/n cheerfully said

"Welcome, and please go change or you'll get sick" Kagaya said while patting Y/n's head

Y/n head up to his room to go change, his smile immediately dropped once he's all alone now

"Never have I imagined that I'll lie to my family about me being fine.." he sighed while taking off his uniform

He changed into something more comfortable and jumped on his bed face down, he closed his eyes and slowly drifted off to dreamland

Meanwhile sumihiko was busy on remembering his lines, he was a nervous wreck since he's gonna be the main character

Not to forget that he's gonna kiss his partner right in front of the crowd.. And Y/n

'Ugh! Focus sumihiko, there's no time thinking about him.'

He flipped through the pages and continued reading

"you looked stressed about the play." Kanata said while reading a book

"Well I kinda want it to be perfect since it will be held on the school's theater." He said

"It'll be fine." Kanata muttered

Sumihiko sighed and put aside the script and went to his bed, he sat down and clenched his fist as another wave of nervousness came

Tomorrow is a big day after all..
