Chapter 16

Third Person's POV

"Mom! Daki ate my gummy bears!" The seven years old Y/n cried

"I didn't know it was yours! And stop calling me Daki, gosh.. You're hanging out with gyuu too much." Ume sighed as she continued with her homework

Y/n continued to cry while tugging on his mother's apron, his mother who's busy cooking sighed and picked the crying Y/n

"Now now it was an accident, how about this.. I'll buy you more of it once you eat your veggies" She smiled, Y/n grimaced his mither chuckled at his disgusted expression

"Ew, veggies" he said his mother laughed so as his sister

He stopped grimacing and watched both of his mother and sister who's laughing at him, he smiled and wrapped his arms around his mother's neck

"I love the two of you, Mom and sis." he said, His mother smiled as tears prickles her eyes, Ume smiled as well

"We love you too, kiddo" Ume said as she walked towards the and ruffled his hair making him groan in irritation and they all began laughing again

The entire theater became quiet as a thud erupted from the stage

Non of them uttered a word, everyone was frozen and too shock to comprehend what had happened until a yell broke the silence

"Y/N!" Yoshiteru came running down at full speed almost tripping in the process

He climbed up the stage and kneeled beside the unconcious Y/n who's starting to get paler each second

Kagaya climbed up the stage and went to carry Y/n outside where their car is

"Don't give up on me bud." Kagaya muttered as he placed Y/n in the backseat, his mother went in as well and placed his son's head in her lap

Ume sat on the passenger sit, Kagaya started driving as fast as he could he even ignored the red lights and the yell of the pedestrians all he has on his mind was to go to the hospital as fast as possible

Back on the theater everyone have left already except for Y/n's classmates who's still shocked by the incident

Sumihiko was quiet the whole time, he was sitted on th very back of the Dressing room

His heart felt like it's crumbling into ashes, everything felt numb except for the pain he's feeling.

Yoshiteru felt the same, he felt useless, he saw it coming yet he didn't do anything

"What kind of a friend am I..?"

Aoi was folding the dress she wore, she even fixed Y/n's bag so they can give it to his parents once they pay him a visit

While fixing his bag her finger grazed in a familiar bottle, she pulled it out and tears starts to fall on her eyes as she looked at it

"If only I forced him to drink one.."

Everyone was blaming themselves for not noticing sooner, Unaware that yoshiteru was standing in front of him

"Sumihiko.. Can we talk?"

At the hospital Y/n was sent in the Emergency Room leaving the three in the waiting area

Ume was pacing back and forth as she waits for the doctor to come out and tell them that everything will be just fine, that he's just having a fever that's all

While waiting Ume felt her heart sunk as a group of nurses and a few doctors came running towards the Emergency room where Y/n is currently at

His mother stood up and asked some nurses but received no answers, she cried and hold onto Kagaya's arm tightly

After half an hour of waiting doctor Tamayo came out of the room

His mother was the first to approach the doctor who's holding a paper

"H-How's my baby? H-how is he? Is.. Is he okay? Can we see him? Where is her?" She bombarded Tamayo with questions, Kagaya placed a hand on top of her shoulder to calm her down

"dear, Let the doctor speak." Kagaya said

Tamayo took off her surgical mask and looked at them with sad expression

"I'm gonna go straight to the point, You're son is in critical condition right now, we moved him in the Intensive care unit, the cause of his sudden collapses is due to suffocation the veins from the flowers have reached his heart and its making it hard to beat properly.. I suggest we do a surgery because if we don't I'm afraid your son will not last." She said in a calm tone as possible

Y/n's mother covered her mouth as she burst into tears, Ume was also crying as she leaned on the wall for support she already called the others including Yoshiteru since she have gotten his number before the play just incase something bad happens..

Outside the hospital Sumihiko was running on full speed with a trailing Yoshiteru on his back along with Aoi

Yoshiteru have told him everything from the day he saw Y/n vomiting flowers and the time they would talk on the rooftop

There's no words to describe how guilty he feels for not accepting Y/n's confession even if he feels the same way

'It's all my fault... I did this to him..'

They asked where Y/n is and t nurse have told them that he's currently in the ICU which made him even more guilty

They didn't wait for the Elevator and take the stairs instead, The other two was having a hard tile to keep up with Sumihiko's speed

As they reached the floor where Y/n is located at they were met with a crying mother of Y/n and a sulking Ume on the corner

Kagaya was having a conversation with the doctor who seemed too familiar to him

As he was about to approach them his eyes widened at what he have heard.

"Please... Take the flower out of him"
