Hyun-Jae ran into her room and slammed the door shut. She then proceeded to sit down on the bed in tears.

"Why, why can't I just be like the other nations. Why can't I just be able to live happily like the others. Why can't we just go back to before our family fell apart?!" she quietly screamed.

"Why can't I handle my own country's government in the slightest? I can barley even face my own brothers."

"Well, you know what to do." The voice in her head said.

"No, I don't want to do it!" she stated.

"Do it, you think your own family will care after what you've put them through?!" the voice taunted.

"But, I, they're-" she tried to reason.

"Can't come up with an argument I see?" the voice taunted again.

After several more taunts, Hyun-Jae finally gave in to the voice.

She pulled a small pocket knife out of her pocket.

She flipped the blade open and began to drag the blade across the back of her forearms.

"Keep going, this is the only way to atone for your mistakes!" the voice whispered, louder this time.

"I've failed them, I've failed all of them!" Hyun-Jae cried.

Salty tears poured onto her opened up wrists, making them sting, but she couldn't care. Wasn't this what she deserved? She hoped to just bleed out and for it to all be over.

Trigger warning over

That was when she heard the turning of a doorknob on the door she forgot to lock.

The door opened to reveal Yao. A very shocked Yao

He quickly noticed Hyun-Jae's state and rushed over to get the knife out of her hand.

"Yong-Soo, quick, grab my med kit!" China shouted.

"Why?" Yong-Soo asked.

"Just go! I don't have time to explain!" Yao called out.

Hyun-Jae heard the sound of her twin running away from the room and the footsteps of a group sprinting to the room.

She looked up and saw Leon, Cheng (Macau), Batukhan (Mongolia), Tai (Thailand), Lien, Loup (Laos), Ros (Cambodia), Aisyah (Malaysia), Aloysius (Singapore), Neeraja (India), and Kiku.

The other countries noticed her cut up arms. They quickly rushed over to where her and Yao were.

"Hyun-Jae?!" Cheng gasped.

Hyun-Jae looked down to try and avoid her family's eyes.

Did they really care? Of course not, not with what her government has done. They've inflicted pain on so many.

"언니?" asked a quiet male voice.

She looked up to see Kiku.

She knew he had a very strong emotion if he started speaking Korean, which is something he pretty much never did. He only ever did it in the past if something was seriously wrong, and only knew a bit, the bits he had randomly picked up from the Korean twins.

There were several seconds of uncomfortable silence between the two before Yong-Soo ran back into the room.

He handed the med kit over to Yao. Yao then pulled out some bandages, anti-bacteria stuff, a cloth, and some water. He proceeded to tend to Hyun-Jae's injuries.

"Sis, why would you want to inflict this on yourself?" Yong-Soo asked.

She looked back down at the ground and started to cry. The other Asian nations walked up to try and comfort her.

"Hyun-Jae, how long has this been going on?" Lien asked.

She was silent at first before saying, "Since Yong-Soo and I were separated."

Her family was shocked, it had been that long? And none of them had noticed?!

Kiku felt especially bad. She had been living with him for a over a decade now, and he had never noticed! What kind of friend was he?! He continued to try to hold back tears.

"Hyun-Jae, what can we do to help you?" Leon asked.

"I'm not sure, but, why would you want to help me, especially with what my country's done." Hyun-Jae questions.

"Because you're our sister, or at least our friend, and we care about you, no matter what you think!" Yong-Soo exclaims, loosing control of his tears.

"They're lying to you, I'm only trying to protect you! Don't trust them, only me!" the voice shouted.

"Hyun-Jae, we will help you, no matter what it takes." Yao smiles.

"Y-you really w-will?" she sobs.

"We will, we swear it on our graves." Batukhan assures.

"Sis, can you please try to stop?" Yong-Soo pleads.

"W-We d-don't w-want you t-to hurt y-yourself anymore." Kiku sobs.

"No! Don't trust them! They'll only hurt you! Trust me! I'll protect you!" the voice begged.

"Are you really sure?" Hyun-Jae thought in response.

"Yes!!" the voice responded back. "They'll only hurt you! I'll help you! Just take the knife and-"

"SHUT UP!!" Hyun-Jae screamed at the voice. "These are my brothers and family, my friends! Even if they don't truly care, if there is the possibility that they do, I want to heal, for them!"

"I guess I can try, for you all." Hyun-Jae says.

"NO!!" the voice screams.

The rest of the Asian nations begin to smile, while Yong-Soo also begin to cry along with Kiku.

Hyun-Jae smiles slightly and opens her arms as permission to hug her. Yong-Soo and Kiku wastes no time to tackle her into a hug.

The rest of the family joins in on the hug after a few seconds of the sweet moment.

They knew it would take awhile to get her better. But they knew damn well that any amount of time would be worth it if it meant Hyun-Jae could get better.

This wasn't a moment between nations, it was a moment between a broken family and a broken friendship. And that family was, slowly, being put back together, bit by bit.

After a few moments, they heard three sets of footsteps sprinting towards their room.

And this chapter is finally done. It's been friggen weeks. I'm really sorry about that, motivation was being a bitch and avoiding me.

Anyways, I know that this chapter took forever to get out. However, the next chapter will also take forever to get out because I will be at camp for 2 weeks and won't be able to work on this. So sorry about that :/

Also, I used their human names to give a closer, more human connection between them and make them seem more human. And also, I'm trying to make you feel empathy for Hyun-Jae, not the country of North Korea.

Anyways, have a good day/night, stay safe, yada yada.
