chapter 1

me going to Belgrave university was my mom's dying wish.
This place was close to her heart for some unknown reason.
Her wish came true today when I received a letter that said that I got a full scholarship to a first degree at Belgrave academy.
My dad was happy for me, he knew how important my mom was to me.
He drove me to the university after he helped me pack.
"Look at you, going to university, your mom would've been proud," he told me as he took out my suitcase from his car's trunk
״thanks dad"

I smiled and gave him a hug before I walked in.
I started unpacking my clothes into my dorm's closet until I heard a knock in the door.
I opened the door only to be met up with a boy,l that was a bit taller than me, he looked a year or two younger than me and had messy brown hair
"What's up? I'm Randall. I going to be your RA this year" he said as he handed me some files and poster about the campus
"hey I'm y/n l/n" I smiled and extended my hand which he happily shook
"okay well I need to go help some more students now, but if you need a talking buddy I'm your guy" he told me before he left and I closed the door behind him.
After I finished unpacking I went on a walk through the campus.
This place is HUGE. So huge that it took me 4 hours to explore it and get back to my dorms.
I called my dad to assure him that I was okay and tell him goodnight before I went to bed.
I met Jack the next day at the ethics lesson. He's really nice, yet something felt off about him to me, but I shrugged it off.
After ethics I had philosophy, and I have to admit I wasn't so happy when I saw it on my schedule.
But 15 minutes into the lesson I became really interested.
Professor Duke made the subject more interesting than he sounded(and the fact that he's hot is totally not affecting my decision).
After philosophy, I didn't have any other class since and it was my first day so I decided to go back to my dorms.
When I got there I saw Randall standing in front of my door, looking like he's going to knock on it
"looking for me?" I chuckled "oh my god you almost gave me a heart attack!" He jumped in surprise

"sorry!" I laughed
"I wanted to see if you wanted to go with me and few friends to the bar" he suggested
"I'm in, meet you there in 20?"
"Deal" he smiled and walked away happily,
I have a feeling that he and I are going to be good friends.
I changed from the outfit I wore for my lessons to something a bit more comfortable before I left.
When I walked into the bar I saw Randall sitting in a booth with jack, a girl I didn't know and...professor Duke?!
I walked up to them nervously and when Randall noticed me he stood up
"everyone this is y/n. Y/n this is Lillith " he pointed at the girl I didn't recognize
"and you already know Jack and Hamish" he said as he sat down. I sat down next to Lillith and smiled "it's nice to meet you all".
After a few drinks,Hamish opened up to us about his student, especially an annoying one called Shane
"professor you can't talk like that about your students" I chuckled
"it's Hamish for you y/n and I can when it comes to Shane" he smiled
"well he does sound like a pain in the ass" I said
"you have no idea" Lillith groaned.
We stayed at the bar until night came down and although both Randall and Hamish wanted me to go back to my dorms alone I reassured them that I'm going to be just fine.
But boy I was so wrong. I mean I did get to my dorm fine, I was not fine the second I stepped in.
When I closed the door behind me I turned around to see a HUGE wolf in my room.

It took a lot from me to not scream and just try and talk to it since and it was clearly no ordinary wolf
"easy there boy or girl" I said as I walked back slowly but all that I got in response was a low growl as it walked towards me.
I walked back until I tripped over a book and fell on my stomach.
I tried to get up but yeh wolf held me down.
He brought its face close to mine and I thought 'that's it I'm dead' but then it just walked away and I fainted from the stress.
