[15] Important Chat

3rd POV

A few days after Team Natsu and the Black Bulls went to the capitol, the members were in their base, being themselves. Finral was taking the captain to places without choice, Gauche was admiring a photo of his younger sister, Charmy was eating to her heart's content, Vanessa was passed out from drinking, and Luck was annoying Magna. The usual. 

Asta was doing his daily grind of push ups, which Natsu happily joined in on. Happy and Nero sitting on their backs. Noelle, Lucy, and Erza were having a friendly chat. Gray was watching everything going on in front of him. 

"1000!" Asta shouted in victory, punching his fist in the air. Out of frustration, Natsu screamed and fire breath came blasting out of his mouth. 

"No one usually does work outs with me, so it was nice competing," Asta commented, smiling at Natsu. 

"Yeah yeah.." Natsu pouted with a rather salty expression. 

"Good, now another 1000," Erza instructed with her bold voice. 

"EH!??!" Asta was speechless but didn't turn down the offer. He started doing the push ups rapidly. 

"I'll do it first this time, Astra!" Natsu shouted, performing the same exercise with the same speed.

"My name is Asta!" 

"Okay, Astra!" 

"Idiot, his name is Asta, I swear you have hearing problems," Lucy said, shaking her head in disappointment. 

"I DON'T HAVE HEARING PROBLEMS, LUIGI!" 

"IT'S LUCY!" 

Gray couldn't help but frown as he saw his two guild mates interact with each other. He always knew that they were going to end up as something in the future, but he couldn't help but think of about a certain water mage that was hopelessly in love with him back in Fairy Tail.

"Gray, my love!" 

Her voice always rang in his head, but he kept quiet about it and tried to ignore it. The ice mage groaned in frustration and shook his head. 

"Welcome back Captain Yami!" the members howled as the captain had just walked through the spatial portal. Finral happily closed the portal, panting slightly. 

"Before I go take a shit, Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray, and that weird blue cat. Come with me, we need to talk," Yami said, walking into the large hallway. Team Natsu quickly followed his orders and stood in front of him. 

Yami exhaled smoke from his cigarette, before staring at them. 

"Do you know why I chose you guys to be in my squad?" 

"No, we aren't aware," Erza answered. 

"First off, the amount of power you all have is beyond anything I've seen. I wasn't the only one who saw that amount of power at the exam." 

"Secondly, nobody else would've chosen you guys." 

That one statement made everyone widen their eyes. 

"Nobody else, but you said all the captains thought that we had excellent power," Lucy said. 

"Yeah, but nobody knows where that power has come from. I can't really say anything myself, but the type of magic you all possess isn't from around here," Yami stated, putting the team in a state of shock. 

"Not even from the kingdoms. The ki you all have isn't like anyone else's. You don't have grimoires." 

"Not having a grimoire, yet possibly having the magic to outshine all of Clover Kingdom. Tell me, where the hell did you guys come from?" 

Team Natsu all shared glances with each other, unsure of how to respond. They gave Natsu the look for him to remain silent. It was as if their captain has been watching them all their lives and noticed every single detail about them. 

"Answer me you twits!" Yami snapped, growing impatient. 

"We don't know," Natsu blurted out. His fellow Fairy Tail members widened their eyes and shot their heads to face him. 

"Oh? You don't know? You seem to understand your magic pretty well. Enough with the stupid answers. Why are you guys here?" 

"Again, we don-" before he can finish his sentence, Erza puts her hand over his mouth to stop him from further speaking. 

"You know, earlier I was talking to the Wizard King about you guys. I'm not the only one who's interested in you morons. We know that we haven't seen the full potential of your magic."

"Now, do me a damn favor and tell me why you all joined the Magic Knights exam," he ordered with a dark glare on his face. 

Lucy and Happy flinched at the tone of his voice and started shaking in fear. This didn't go unnoticed by the members next to them. 

"We were on a mission and we got transported to this kingdom," Gray said, looking at their captain dead in the eye. 

"Being transported on a mission to this kingdom? What are they? Spies from the neighboring kingdoms?"  he questioned in his mind. 

"It's the truth, we got sent here by accident," Erza stated. 

"Accident huh?" 

"They seem to be telling the truth so far.." Yami thought before closing his eyes.

"If you can answer that question truthfully, answer this the same way. Why did you join the Magic Knights?" he asked, his tone rising slightly. 

They all stayed quiet. Mainly because they knew that it was all a stupid idea they decided to try out just to investigate where they were. They just went with what they thought would be the right thing. The only thing they wanted, was nothing more then to go back to the rest of the guild.

"Not going to answer me huh? And here I thought you all had such great potential. I guess that can't be helped," Yami sighed before turning around to walk away. 

"If you have no response, then why even bother standing there wearing that robe," Yami said. 

"No." 

Hearing that response, their captain stopped walking and stood still. 

"We aren't here for no reason." 

"We may seem different from others, but we know that we're more powerful then anyone here." 

"If you wish to start a fight against us, in believing that we're in the wrong. Be our guest, we'll win." 

"You want to know who we are?" 

"We're members of the strongest guild, Fairy Tail!"
