the tired students and i grabbed our water bottles in exasperation, chugging the cold liquid down our throats.
"yo, jae? you have company." my friend san called.
i furrowed my eyebrows, swallowing my last sip of water and walking to the front entrance. "holy shit!" i smiled, looking through the glass door. i swung it open, embracing the figure in a hug. "BITCH!!"
"jae! come here you little shit i missed you." beck laughed, squeezing me tighter. she shoved me away in a fit of laughter. "come on go say that you're leaving."
"i- beck you know i can't do that?" i sighed. "i wish i could but i'm still a few hundred dollars short." she rolled her eyes at my statement and grabbed my wrist, dragging me into the studio. the students were stretching but san stopped to look at me. i told him to wrap everything up here and he nodded, bowing a goodbye.
"see, not so hard huh?" she laughed, nudging my arm as we exited the building. i scoffed, nudging her back. "hey take me to the nearest boba shop, i've been dying for some."
