Prologue

I was running in the middle of the dark and wet street like my life depends on it. Screaming for help but it looks like no one can hear me.

Then suddenly, a gun shot makes me frozed like an ice.

"Huwag ka nang tumakbo, wala ka na rin namang tatakbuhan pa." the scary man said while pointing a gun on me.

Chills are piercing on my bare skin.

I was shivering like a scaredy cat.

When the man was about to pull the trigger, someone pushed me aside. The bullet that is supposed to be mine-- hit an innocent boy.

"Alas!" I cried as I run onto him.

"Takbo na Aleck, bilis may mga parak." he muttered while holding his stomach. Mababakas sa maamo niyang mukha ang sakit.

At first I hesitated 'cause I don't want to leave him there alone.

But he was so eager to drive me away so I don't have a choice, I immediately obey what he wants but before turning around I gave him my bracelet-- my flower bracelet that I made by myself.

"Itago mo 'yan, mahahanap kita gamit yan." I murmured then run as fast as I can away from him, away from Alas.

Tears plunged down on my face.

Patuloy lang ako sa aking pag takbo kahit 'di ko na alam kung saan ako papunta. Tila nagkaroon ng kaunting pag-asa sa aking puso nang may dumaan na isang karwahe...wait what?

Karwahe?

I try to blink my eyes for the nnth time just to see if it's real, one last blink then the surrounding changed.

The dark and wet street turned into a cemetery, where everyone's crying, specially a woman that is holding a frame, a picture frame to be exact.

She keeps on turning her gaze around like she's looking for something.

I frozed when her glance landed on me.

She gave me her sweet smile.

I couldn't move.

I can feel the warmth on her smile, It embrassed my heart.

My forehead creased.

I think I already saw that kind of smile. It looks so very familiar. It seems like I always saw it but I can't remember when and where.

I also saw a young boy that is about 3 to 4 years old standing beside the crying woman, look at my direction. He looks like me when I'm on the same age.

I didn't leave my eyes on them.

In an instant, they are now both smiling to me,

those smiles...

I slowly open my eyes while reaching the alarm clock beside my bed.

I deep a sigh as I catched my breath.

"Arggh! That dream again." I muttered as I walk towards the bathroom to make my morning routine.
