at what was to be crown prince rhian's coronation yesterday, all but one of the remaining selected were poisoned. eight girls now lie incapacitated in the infirmary as palace officials work tirelessly to find whoever did this. prince rhian has assured the country that the girls are getting the best care possible, and hopes that they will pull through, although the doctors are not confident. he also issued a statement earlier this morning, at the foot of the palace steps:
"i will not rest until the poisoner is found. these girls are guests of the palace, and therefore my responsibility. until the culprit is found, i will not take the crown. i don't deserve it, i have failed to keep these girls safe. from now on, my first priority will be the safety of all palace residents, until the poisoner is found. i will not eat, i will not sleep, i will not, for even a moment, rest, until i have found who did this and brought them to justice. thank you for your time."
