Satine stood in front of the ship's ramp. Her heart beat fast, anxious and nervous of coming back. It has been almost two months since she had left her home planet. It wasn't the planet she was born in, but it was her home nonetheless.

As the ramp lowers, Satine wondered How destroyed is the city? How are the people taking it? Her heart beats faster. She inhaled and exhaled in such a fast period people might even hear it.

The sun shine brightly at her and the view came clear. The Docks has been covered with bullet holes, broken glass and fallen debris. Satine swallowed hard as she walked down the ramp. Down below waiting for her is her sister Bo-Katan and her men.

Satine joined her younger sister and the two started walking towards the city. The Duchess observed her surroundings, taking note in her head of every damage that has been done. Bo glanced at Satine every once in a while. "We already cleaned up some part of the city, we will be cleaning this part today," she informed her older sister.

Satine nodded in response. Bo led her to a transport waiting for them. The two hopped in. The driver then drove the transport into the city. Just behind them, 2 Mandalorians followed the transport on their jetpacks.

As the transport entered the city, Satine saw the people of Mandalore being led by Republic clones, who had stayed behind, to the emergency camps that has been set up. The people were suffering, some even have injuries from the battle. Thankfully, according to the report, no civilians fell during the battle.

The people soon realized that Satine has returned and they stared at her. They all waved as the transport sped through the city. There were smiles, hopeful smiles, for a better future. Satine smiled and waved back to them. She felt grateful that they're accepting her.

Eventually the transport closed in to the Sundari Palace. Satine's heart beat faster. It has been a long time since she left and that place was the place where she almost died. As the transport passed over the Plaza in front of the Palace, she was reminded about the battle that day.

I was a coward for running away, Satine scolded herself. The Plaza is now covered with permanent markings of blaster bolts from the two battles that happened there. The only way to get rid of it is by changing the tiles entirely, which they wouldn't be able to do at least for now.

The transport stopped at in front of the Palace. Taking a deep breath, Satine dropped out from her ride with Bo-Katan following her from behind. Satine stared at the large structure and inhaled one last time before finally stepping in into the Palace for the first time since the day she almost died.

The place was in need of repair, but not as much as some other places she observed on their way here. Satine walked down the hallway with glass covering the floor. She purposefully stepped away from the glass and sometimes even kicking them aside. She looked to the right and left to see some of the glass broken. Satine sighed and continue to walk.

The hallway led to the place she was heading to: the throne room. Satine stopped walking just before entering the room. She stared at the throne that was taken away from her by Pre Vizsla and then by Maul. Many bad memories came back but she stayed strong. She's finally getting it back. Bo-Katan noticed her sister's hesitation. She put her hand on her shoulder for support. Satine glanced to look at Bo for a second and smiled. She turned back to look at the throne, took a deep breath and stepped in.

The room was surprisingly still intact. Compared to the other parts of the Palace that she went through, the room seemed to be still looking good. Satine walked up the stairs and turned her body 180 degrees. Bo and the 2 Mandalorians wait below. She slowly lowered her body and finally sat on the Mandalorian throne.
