                                                                               Dahlia's POV

The two of us as injured and battered as we were did not stand a chance against him. Bellamy was already down for the count, and it only took him a few seconds to knock me down as well. He made quick work in tying the two of us up and stringing us up to his horse.

"You have to stay on your feet," Finn told us when the grounder jumped back on his horse. "He'll kill you if you don't."

"Whatever. This is your fault. How did you even get yourself caught?" I asked him.

"The same way you did." He answered.

Suddenly, we heard yelling come from behind us to see Munroe and the other kid whose name I could not remember running out towards us. The grounder pulled out his sword and faced off against them as he waited for them to approach. Before the conflict could reach its boiling point, a gunshot run out in the woods. Then the grounder fell to his knees. Someone had shot him. Another gunshot went off and hit him square in the head. I watched as he fell face down in the dirt, finally dead. I looked around to see who it was, who had saved us. My eyes landed on our savor, and my gratitude faded away, and I wished he had just let me die. It was Kane standing there with the gun in his hands. Kane had somehow made it to the ground, and he had found us. He walked out of the tree line, followed by a group of other adults, but my eyes landed on Sebastian. I could not pull my gaze away from him. My body froze, and for the first time in forever, I was scared. He shouldn't be here. He couldn't be here. His eyes found mine, and for a second, it was like the world had stopped.

"Dad!" Munroe yelled out as she ran past me and threw herself into Sebastions arms.

"Thank god your okay." He said as he hugged her so tightly, he lifted her off the ground.

I spent so much time worrying about everything else down here I never realized Monroe was Sebastian's daughter.

"We're here now," Kane told us as he lowered his gun. "Everything's gonna be okay."

"This is bullshit," I said as I brought my attention back to Kane.

Finn and Bellamy looked over to me. They seemed just as worried as I did. I looked back over to Kane to see him flipping over the dead grounder as if it wasn't obvious he was dead.

One of the men I did not recognize walked over to cut the three of us free. I quickly stood up and backed away from him as I rubbed my wrists. Kane whistled, and a much larger group of people walked out of the woods. The one leading the charge was Abby. She was looking frantically around, obviously looking for Clarke. Finn and I tried to help Bellamy stand up, but he swayed, struggling to stay on his feet.

"Don't stand," Abby told him as she rushed over.

"I'm fine," Bellamy answered her.

These were the people who arrested us, who sent us down here to die. Now that the Ark exploded, they want to come down and help us. To pretend like they give a fuck about us.

"We need to get back to the dropship," Bellamy told Finn and I.

"Yeah." I agreed.

The three of us started to walk away, but Abby stopped us.

"Hey. Where's Clarke? Is she all right?" Abby asked us.

I hoped she would not ask because I didn't have an answer for her. I did not like Abby at all, but she was worried about her daughter in a way no parent should ever be.

"She was when we left," Finn answered her. "We'll take you to her." He said then started to walk in the direction of the dropship.

Bellamy and I started after him. I needed to get back to see if Murphy was okay.

"Wait," Kane said as he held out his hand to try and stop ups.

"Slow down. Sinclair were splitting up." Kane said as he walked over to Sinclair.

"One guard detail comes with me to the dropship," Kane told him, and I could not help but wonder what the hell happened upon the Ark that put Kane in charge.

"Everyone else here goes with you to Alpha Station. We have the coordinates. We'll follow when we can." Kane continued on.

"Yes, sir," Sinclair responded.

"Anything more from Jaha?" Kane asked, and I could not help but smile at the fact that Jaha might be dead but hated the fact that Kane of all people was in charge.

"No. Nothing in the past hour." Sinclair answered.

"Okay. You six with me. You two, lead the way." He said to Bellamy and Finn completely ignoring me like always while Sinclair and his group walked off in the other direction.

I walked close to Bellamy and Finn in front of the rest of the group while I focused on every word Kane was saying. Monroe hung back with her father. He was another problem that I would have to deal with as soon as possible.

"You're almost there, Abby," Kane told her.
