Jazz Club, 1919

A Jazz number was played at a local club, everyone was gathered in the area. United. Enjoying themselves as people dance, sing, laugh, mingle and drink. While sitting at the bar, Elijah, Lana and Klaus all turn to observe the crowded club before them. "Well," Klaus started. "This is a first. Werewolves, vampires, witches and dirty cops." He glances at a group of cops toasting their glasses together and drinking to the happy occasion. "All happy as clams and drunk as stoats." He smiles at his older brother as the original vampire orders three shots.

The small woman smiles. "You gotta love this city." Her gloved hand reaches out and takes the shot glass from Elijah.

Elijah hands his brother a glass and smiles. "To a new era! Collaboration in the face of Prohibition."

Lana smiles again, looking between the two men. "To your docks, their booze, and our theaters to hide it under. You're welcome boys."

The three happily toast their glasses together, then throw their drinks back. Klaus smirks down at Lana, leaning closer. "Now, I shall have to think of a way to thank you personally, in a manner befitting a werewolf queen."

Lana hums, stroking his face affectionately. "Catch you on the dance floor." She walks past him, her hips swaying as she heads into the crowd.

Elijah breathes out, sighing happily. "Who would have thought it possible, the unification of New Orleans?"

"We did it brother." Klaus grips his brother's shoulders playfully.

Elijah puts his arm around his brother's shoulder, and whirls him around to overlook the scene before him. "Oh, certainly, we worked together, Niklaus. But this vision? This was all you." They smile at each other once more before turning their heads back to the crowd.

Lying in his bed, Klaus lay shirtless, his eyes closed as he gasps for breath. The events of what happened in the Fleur De Lis Sanatorium taking its full course. Elijah stands there, watching his brother writhing in pain. "This was all you." He repeats the words he once told his brother years ago.

Outside, Cami rushes into the compound in a hurry. Standing, the other vampires glance at her in confusion. None being aware of her presence. "What's she doing here?"

Elijah calls out, before turning and walking out to gather her. "Camille!" He motions his head in her direction. "Please."

Cami rushes over to him, annoyance on her face. "Why did you call me? Have you found a way to help my uncle?"

"I can try, but first, I need your help."

Cami stops, shaking her head. "I don't have time for games, Elijah. The hex on him is getting worse by the day."

Elijah stops walking, and turns to face her. "My brother has a mystical torture device buried in his chest, and the mother of his child is inexplicably missing. So, I can assure you, I have no time to play any games, either." He looks down at her rather seriously.

Cami breathes out, looking up at him rather seriously. "What do you need me to do?" She follows him, up the stairs and into Klaus' bedroom, listening to Elijah explain everything. She stops when she looks at Klaus lying on his bed. "So, the dagger the witch gave me is inside of him?"

Elijah, nods, removing his jacket and rolling up his sleeve. "And every second it remains, causes Niklaus untold suffering."

"Who stabbed him?" She asks softly.

"I did, and now I intend to remove it. You may want to take a step back."

Cami stares at him confused and shocked. "Why am I here?"
