Chapter 2: Regret and Sadness

"Please.... let's talk.... I missed u so much..."
"I.said.let.me.go!" U shouted as u pushed Minju away from u making her fall on the ground.
"Minju!!" Her members immediately rushed towards her as they helped her up.
"Y/N apologise to them right now!" S.Coups commanded u but u just walked out of the room instead.
"Y/N!"
U kept walking and walking until u felt someone turning u around and holding u in place.
"Why did u do that Y/N? She might have done something wrong to u but u shouldn't have done that to her." Woozi said sternly to u while Seungkwan and Joshua followed behind.
"U should apologise to her right now as well to her members." Joshua said while u snickered.
"I'm never going to apologise to her. Never." U said as u pushed Woozi's hands away from u while u walked away.
"We're so sorry for everything Y/N's done." Your members apologised to the girls.
"It's alright Sunbaenim. But Minju are u alright?" Eunbi asked as the girl in question nodded but didn't say anything.
"Can I ask u something Minju ssi?" Jeonghan asked making the girl look at him.
"What exactly did u do to Y/N to make him so mad at u?"
Everyone was also curious about it since the girls didn't know the exact story.
"Y/N has always been a nice guy but whenever we talk about u he changes into another person so what did u do to him?"
Meanwhile
"I shouldn't have pushed her even though I'm mad at her... I'm such a idiot."
U were now walking aimlessly in the streets and luckily there was no one at all.
Thinking back to the earlier scene, u should have listened to what Minju wanted to say but given the situation it would have just made things worse.
"Wait this place is...."
Somehow u landed at a park where u and Minju used to hang out when u were still close friends.
U smiled at the place as u walked while reminiscing the past.
Flashback
"Y/N are we going to separate some day?"
Minju asked sadly.
"Of course not, why are u asking that?"
"It's just I'm afraid one day we'll just not see each other anymore..." She said while pouting.
U chuckled at her while pinching her cheeks.
"Silly girl, it won't happen at all."
"Really?"
U nodded as a smile formed on the little girl's face while she hugged u tightly.
"U promised me Y/N. Never break it!"
"I promise u..."
Flashback over
"I didn't break our promise.... u did.. and it hurts so much..."
Your tears started falling while u just let your emotions pour out.

"So that's what happened..."
After knowing what happened between the both of u, both groups didn't know what to say.
After all, this wasn't something that they were personally involved in however now that it involved their members, they had to do something about it.
"I~sniff can understand why Y/N doesn't want to forgive me but.... I really want to talk to him again~" Minju said before crying once more as her members comforted her.
As for your members, they were conflicted.
They wanted to help her yet at the same time this was their member that was involved too.
Your members gathered while planning what to do.
"We can't pretend this never happened right?" Dino asked while the other guys nodded.
"When Y/N comes back later let's have a good talk with him." Jun said.
"Ermm hey Minju ssi?" S.coups called while the girls looked up.
"When Y/N gets back home, we'll have a good talk with him so just leave it to us alright?"
A smile formed on her face as her tears continued flowing.
"Thank u Sunbaenim thank u.."
"Hey it's alright we don't have any grudge against u or anything u know."
"Coups Hyung is right. For now let's not worry about Y/N, just leave him to us." Hoshi said making the girls smile at them.
Time skip
Hours passed by and u still weren't back at the dorm.
"Is he even coming back? It's getting late." Vernon said in frustration.
"If this keeps up we'll have to go look for him." Added Wonwoo.
Creak
"I'm back Hyungs...."
The other members were about to start scolding u but stopped when they saw that your eyes were puffy and red.
"Y/N..."
"I'll be in my room if u guys need anything...."
U said weakly as u entered your room.
"Great now he's acting like this. How are we going to help Minju ssi?" Minghao asked.
There was several sighs of frustration from the others members until...
"I'll talk to him. It's my responsibility as a leader." S.coups said.
Meanwhile
"What am I going to do from now on..."
Did u want to listen to what Minju had to say?
Or did u want to just forget about her forever?
U didn't know what to now. The fact that u cried over her shows that u still loved Minju but u still feared that if u decided to face her once again that trauma might come back to u.
Knock knock
"I'm coming in Y/N."
U snapped out of your thoughts as S.coups walked into your room.
"We've heard about everything Y/N. She-she told us about it."
Your tears started falling once more as u sighed in frustration.
"I-it hurts Hyung... a lot. I don't know what am I gonna do anymore from now on~" U said as u cried while the leader sat beside u and patted your shoulders to calm u down.
"Do u want to hear my honest opinion about this?"
U looked at your leader as u nodded.
"U should listen to what she has to say. When she explained to us about u and her, it felt like she didn't know what she was doing back then."
"She even said when u left her, she didn't know what to do. Since then she was all alone until she debuted with her members."
U scoffed at what he said.
"If-if she didn't want to be alone all these times she shouldn't have said all those words that day."
"I-sniff I loved her like she was everything to me yet she... she.."
"She also regrets it u know Y/N?" S.Coups said.
"People make mistakes too. We've also made mistakes that we wish we didn't make did we? She's also human so of course she's bound to make mistakes once in a while."
That got u thinking for a while.
He was right, Minju is also human so she was bound to make mistakes but on the other hand even if he was right u didn't know if u were ready to open your heart to her again.
"Look me and the other guys are not forcing u to be friends with her again but at least try to listen and talk to her alright? It's for your own good too or u'll never be able to move on from this."

"I-I'll think about it..."
Although it wasn't a yes from u but at least u were thinking of making your first step.
"Alright think about it then, but one more word of advice love doesn't come to us every time
Y/N. Think about it." S.coups said before leaving your room.
What were u supposed to do right now...
Leaving Minju that day was all to forget about that scar in your heart yet now....
U and her had a lot of wonderful memories together from spending each other's birthday to helping each other out during your hardest times.
Flashback
U were just walking around your school when u heard a familiar sobbing.
"That voice... could it be.."
U followed the voice only to confirm your suspicions as Minju was found crying on her own with her bag torn.
"Minju! What happened?"
The poor girl looked at u and quickly rushed to hug u.
"Y/N... I'm scared..." She said as she cried in your arms.
"Alright I'm here now it's ok..."
After a while Minju explained to u about what happened to her.
Turns out she was picked on by another group of girls whom has been bullying her since she first came into the school.
"Why didn't u tell me about it? I could have helped u."
"I... I didn't want to bother u every time..."
She said while looking down cutely making u chuckle.
"I said before that I'll be with u every time didn't I? Just let me protect u from now on alright?"
"R-really?"
U nodded and smiled at Minju as she hugged u once more.
"Thank u Y/N..."
"Hey no need for any thanks alright? I'll always be by your side Minju..."
But Minju suddenly started whimpering again as u looked at her in confusion.
"Hey what's wrong again?"
She then pointed at her bag as she almost started crying once more.
"My bag is torn.... how am I going to tell mummy..."
"She's so innocent..." U thought
"I'll buy u a new one alright? Stop crying Minguri ah."
"Yah stop calling me that Y/N~" Minju whined while pouting making u pinch her cheeks.
"I won't stop calling u that. That name is precious to me u know."
She then looked at u "Why is that?"
"Because u're precious to me." U thought.
"I'm not telling u~"  U teased, making Minju hit your chest playfully.
Flashback over
"What made u say all those words in the first place Minju..."
Meanwhile
"U feeling ok Minju? Are u hurt anywhere?" Eunbi asked her.
"I-I'm okay Unnie... I'm just tired..."
Right now the girls were back at their dorm.
After seeing what happened between their own member and u, they couldn't help but to intervene now.
"Even if u did something to hurt Sunbaenim in the past, he shouldn't have pushed u." Chaeyeon suddenly said.
"Unnie's right, he shouldn't have been so rude to u just now." Yuri added.
"Girls!" Eunbi signalled them to stop while Minju sighed.
"It's not Y/N's fault..... I-i can understand why he would react in such a aggressive way.."
"Minju..."
If only she didn't said those words to u in the first place she thought.
Back then she herself didn't know what got over her when she was insulting u for all the things u did for her.
It just came out naturally and before she knew it, u were gone from her life.
Minju tried ways to locate u but failed, that was when she knew that her one and only love was gone from her life.
During that period of time, it was a agony for her as she just cried over u and would just visit all of the places u guys had went to just to look back at the fun times.
But when she saw news of Pledis's new boy group Seventeen debuting, she was shocked yet happy that u were finally back.
Yet the look on your face... it looked like u didn't want to be there.
"It must be my fault.." she thought.
That was when she decided if she wanted to see u once more, she had to be in the same industry as u which was what led to her debut now.
"He was right in front of me... I should have just held onto him tightly just now.." Minju said while her tears almost came out once more.
"Hey don't cry anymore Minju ah." Chaewon comforted her.
"I really want to just tell him how sorry I am and how much I love him yet-yet~"
Minju just burst into tears again at the thought of never being able to go back to how it was with u again.
How u treated her with such love like no one other than her parents could and how u protected her yet she was such a jerk towards u.
Timeskip
"Is she asleep now?"
Eunbi nodded while the other girls sighed.
Right now Minju had fallen asleep from all the crying she did but it worried her other members.
"At this rate, Minju will never be able to focus on our promotions if she never moves on from this." Hyewon said.
"That's not the most important thing Hyewon. Right now we have to find a way to help her and Y/N Sunbaenim reconcile." Sakura argued.
It was a tough time for the girls too since Minju was part of their group which they saw as a family but with your aggression towards her there was no way for u to talk to her calmly.
Creak
"Minju/Minju Unnie?"
Minju suddenly comes out of her room looking like she's about to go out.
"I'll be out for a while... don't worry about me." She said before walking out of the dorm.
"S-should we follow her? I'm worried." Hitomi suggested.
"Following her would just make things worse let's just let her be for the time being." Eunbi said.

"I can't forgive myself for forcing u out of my life Y/N..."
Sitting at the exact same park where u were at a while back, Minju took out what looked like was a photobook.
As she smiled while flipping through the pages with pictures of u and her together, she missed the times when she was just with u.
It made her happy since she had no worries at all whenever u were with her.
And then, she flipped onto a particular page.
Flashback
U and Minju were in your final year of high school, a few months before u left her life.
Minju decided to do something special for u since u were always the one doing something for her.
"Hey why are we here Minguri?"
"No asking for now, Just keep walking."
U and her were now in some garden since she wanted to surprise u with something that she came up with.
"How long more do we have to walk~" U complained as Minju giggled.
"Just a while more."
U had no choice as u continued walking until...
"Alright stop."
U stopped immediately with her command as u looked around the surroundings.
There was nothing special at all when u thought it was a prank.
"Ya Minguri is this a pran-eh?"
U stopped as u turned around and didn't see the girl.
"Minju? Ya Minju where are u?" U asked frantically.
"Ya Kim Minju if this is a prank u better stop it or I'm going home!"
U walked and walked until u felt a hug from the back.
The touch felt familiar as u sighed in relief.
"Hey where did u go just now I was worried about u-"
"Shut up and just let me stay like this..." Minju said while hugging your waist tightly.
U couldn't help but blush.
It was the first time Minju did this while your heart started beating faster.
"What's wrong? Why so touchy today?"
"I just want to say thank u for everything u did for me Y/N... U've protected me since we were kids and even now u still want to protect me."
She then turned u around and looked at u in the eyes.
"Thank u Y/N." Was her words before she tiptoed and kissed u in the cheeks, making u heat up.
"M-Minju... I-"
U couldn't say anything as u just turned away making the girl giggle at u.
"Are u feeling shy Y/N~ we're all grown up now so there's no need to be like this."
"S-stop it..."
U felt another hug from her as she smiled.
"If only we can just be together Y/N..." She said softly but u heard it making your heart beat even faster.
However that day was probably the last day u guys were going to be close again.
A few weeks after that day, Minju changed.
She started talking lesser to u and even treated u rudely.
U thought maybe it was because she was going through some difficult time but she didn't say anything at all.
Slowly day by day, her attitude would lead to the turn of events that would last till present time.
Flashback over
"Y/N.... I should have just told u about my feelings that day..."
Right now to her, there was nothing more important than getting u back to being the Y/N she loved.
It was her priority now because she was the one who changed u.

"Minju... I'll forgive u one day but until I hear the reason why u said those hurtful words that day, I'm sorry but there won't come a day where u'll see me being happy..."
