Chapter 3: So close yet so far

One month later
U and your members had a comeback with a new song "Oh my" and was undoubtedly gaining more popularity from the public.
Your company Pledis entertainment even decided to hold a worldwide tour for u guys.
To the members, this was good news for them but for u it wasn't a good idea.
Why?
U wanted to settle your own problems first before focusing on your career.
Ever since that day when u last saw Minju, u had never spoken or seen her.
Right now u and your members were practicing for the concert but needless to say u were out of focus.
"Hey Y/N u're not focusing today. Can u please focus?" Hoshi scolded u while your other members looked at u.
"Mianhae Hyung. I'll focus this time." U said, making the performance team leader sigh.
"Alright one more time, let's go we have to put on a perfect performance for the fans."
But even though u tried your hardest to focus, u still made some mistakes.
Even though Hoshi tried to pretend not to notice it, he couldn't hold it anymore.
"Ya Y/N if u're not focusing u're gonna drag the whole team down!"
"Hoshi, that wasn't necessary." Jeonghan scolded.
"Aren't I right Hyung? He keeps making mistakes today! Y/N I know u have your own problems right now but please focus on the tour right now!"
"Hoshi that's enough!" S.Coups intervened.
"No Hyung.... he's right I haven't been on my best condition lately. I'm sorry guys." U apologised while your members sighed.
"It's alright Y/N. We'll take a break for now before we continue." Joshua said before u guys separated.
"Hoshi, that wasn't nice of u u know, u could have just let go of his mistakes just now." S.Coups scolded the dance leader.
"I.. I know but he can't go on like this Hyung. Our tour's coming up soon if he's not performing at his best condition then-"
"Forcing him isn't going to cut it Hoshi Hyung." Mingyu intervened.
"He's right, Y/N has a lot on his hands already if u force him to perform at your level it's just going to make him go crazy." Added Dokyeom.
This made Hoshi guilty about scolding u just now.
U were already frustrated with your own problem with Minju yet u still had to put all of your energy into the tour.
Meanwhile
"Y/N do u need us to tell Pd-Nim to sit u out of the tour?" Dino asked.
"No need for that Hyung. I don't want to disappoint the fans. I'll not let my own problems affect the team from now..."
"U sure Y/N? U can't stay on like this forever u know." Vernon asked worriedly while u nodded.
U then saw Hoshi walking to u while u stood up.
"Hey Y/N. Mianhae, I was rude to u just now. U have your own problems yet I forced u to keep practicing." The dance leader apologised.
"Gwaenchanha Hyung. I'm the one who should apologise to u and the rest."
"Alright that's enough apologising now. It's never going to end if u guys keep continuing on like this." Seungkwan joked making the rest laugh.
"Alright let's practice one more time and we'll call it a day." S.Coups said while u guys went back to practice.

"E-eh we're going where Unnie?" Minju asked.
"I said all of us will be going to Seventeen Sunbaenim's tour since they personally invited us." Eunbi said while flashing the tickets.
"B-but why would they-"
"Of course Y/N Sunbaenim doesn't know about it. His other members invited us behind his back." Chaewon said.
Flashback
After the announcement of the world tour, coincidentally u and Minju were resting at your dorms since u guys had no schedule.
While your other members went to the market nearby they ran into the girls.
"Iz*one? Is that u girls?" Mingyu asked making the girls jump in shock.
"Mingyu Sunbaenim? Annyeonghaseyo."
"Hey Mingyu what's up- oh Iz*one? What are u girls doing here?" Joshua asked while the rest of your members gathered.
"We're just here to walk around, where's Y/N sunbae?" Hitomi asked.
"He's at the dorm, he's still moody from u know what." Dokyeom said.
"Our Minju is also still moody from that." Hyewon said.
"Hey I got an idea, u know our world tour's coming up right? Why not u girls come?" S.Coups suggested making both groups look at him in surprise.
"We can do that Hyung?" Jeonghan asked.
"Of course why not? Besides this is a chance for Y/N and Minju ssi to finally have a good talk to each other. So are u girls coming?"
The girls talked about it amongst themselves and thought it was a good idea too.
"Sure thing we'll come." Eunbi said.
"Hyung what if Y/N knows about it, he'll flip." Wonwoo said.
"If no one tells him he won't know right?" Woozi said.
"Alright that's settled we'll see u girls then."
"Alright see u guys then."
Flashback over
"We've told them we'll be going already so u have no choice Minju. U're gonna talk to Y/N Sunbae this time." Sakura said.
"But... he won't talk to me...."
"We'll make him talk then, he can't stay mad at u forever can he?" Yujin added.
The chance was finally here to have a heart to heart conversation with u after 3 years.
Yet, how would u react if u knew that she was coming...
U were bound to be mad at your own members for not telling u beforehand not to mention if u knew about this now, u definitely wouldn't participate in the tour.
But still she wanted to take a chance to tell u how about she truly feels.
"I-I'll go if that's what will help me to reconcile with Y/N." Minju said making her other members smile.
"That's our Unnie. Group hug!" Wonyoung laughed while the other girls chuckled and hugged Minju for encouragement.
"Y/N.... I really hope this time u'll listen."
Timeskip
The day of your tour was finally here with u and your members feeling nervous.
U guys were currently backstage preparing to go on stage while hearing the cheers of the fans.
"Hey Hyung u sure it was a good idea to invite the girls today? I don't feel Y/N is gonna be happy once he knows." Dino asked Jeonghan.
"Even if he knows about it now, it's too late he can't back out from this. All he has to do is to face her and talk to her again." The older member assured him.
Amongst the audience there were 12 girls whom was covered up to prevent detection from the fans.
One of them however couldn't describe what she was feeling right now.
Finally seeing u on the big stage performing in front of her made her happy but if u knew that she was here....
How would u react?
Mad most probably but she just had to see u.
"U feeling nervous Minju?" Chaeyeon asked.
"A little. Y/N... he must be happy that his group is finally doing something big like this." The girl said with a small smile on her face.
"For now just enjoy the show, we'll talk to them afterwards alright?" Sakura said making the girl nod.
The audience suddenly started cheering loudly as the girls realised u and your members had made your way to the stage.
"What's up Carats!" S.Coups and your members shouted making your fans shout in excitement.
The girls also started cheering for u guys now while not focusing on the problem later on.
Timeskip
U and your members performed many songs including the ones from your different units and now it was finally time for the talk with the fans.
While all of the members were fooling around making the atmosphere more lively, u weren't as energetic as them.
U just walked among the members as u waved at them but the look on your face made it look like u weren't enjoying today at all.
Finally the time for joking around was over as it was your turn to talk.
The audience immediately went quiet after seeing your face as the girls anticipated your speech.
"Ermm Carats are u guys having fun?"
"Yes!!"
"That's good. I will try not to make the atmosphere moody alright? So just one word of assurance in case u guys are worried about me today, I'm fine I'm just tired that's all." U said making the fans cheer at u.
"But with u guys by our side I'm more energetic than ever so let's be together forever alright?"
"Yes!!!"
After the concert, u and your members were resting backstage now after the busy day.
But u noticed your members looking somewhere else.
"Hyungs what are u guys looking at?"
"Oh it's nothing Y/N." Dino said flustered but u thought something was wrong.
"Really? Cause it looks like u guys are waiting for someone." U said making the others look at each other worriedly.
Meanwhile
"Minju Unnie u feeling alright?" Yuri asked while the older girl nodded.
Worries and other negative thoughts were going through her mind right now yet she was still prepared to hold onto u this time even if u retaliated against her.
Since Iz*one was already on the way to meeting u and your members backstage, it was best to say that it was going to be a chaotic night for sure.
