Your POV

"Y/N!" Naib shouted your name and ran towards you. He was your best friend that you had been in love with for quite some time. He was nice, popular and handsome... Who wouldn't love him?

He threw his arms around you, startling you back to reality as you felt your cheeks go red.

"We have a match together in like, two hours, so do you want to go to the library to hang out?" He let go of the hug and asked cheerfully. You nodded your head, happy that you can spend more time with him.

Naib was really popular, and a lot of girls likes him. You were too, since you and Naib were very close and did almost everything together and many people thought that you guys were dating. Some of the girls even give you dirty looks everytime they saw you two together.

At the library, instead of reading, you and Naib were just happily chatting and playing around, making a fool out of yourselves. You guys were so loud, the librarian couldn't stand it anymore and kicked you guys out.

"How much time do we still have?" Naib asked suddenly.

You looked at your watch. "About an hour."

"Great." He said, grabbing your wrist and leading the way.

"Where are we going?" You felt really confused. Where was he bringing you?

"You'll see." He said, and gave you a small smile.

He brought you somewhere behind the garden. You saw mountains, and even more mountains, and it was a beautiful scenery. It also reminded you of the outside world.

"Whoa, this place is amazing." You said, sitting down on the soft grass. "How did you find it?"

He looked at you and smiled without giving you a reply.

Soon, it was time for the match. As the two of you walked towards the waiting area, you noticed that your other two teammates are Emma and Tracy, and the hunter is Joseph.

Sometimes, Joseph is friendly and sometimes he is really merciless. There's no in between, and it depends on how he's feeling at that very moment. He's a very complicated hunter with very complex emotions.

He gave you guys a small smile. Maybe he will be friendly today.

When the countdown ended, you found yourself in the Sacred Heart Hospital. You ran to the nearest cipher and started decoding.

Just then, the camera world started, and you prayed that Joseph doesn't find you. But if he does, you hoped he will be friendly.

Just as you finished decoding, Joseph walked out of the camera world through the camera beside you. You jumped in shock.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you today." He smiled at you.

You sighed in relief.

"If you dont mind me asking, are you and Naib dating?" He asked suddenly.

"Nope. I really like him though... Maybe I'm just being delusional but I noticed that he seems to be showing interest in me recently? Also, please don't tell him about this, I really treasure our friendship and I don't want things to become awkward between us."

Joseph let out a small chuckle. "I won't tell him, I promise. And I think he likes you too. I saw you two at the library just now."

"Well, I'm going to go surprise your other teammates now. Au revoir~" He said and walked back into the camera world.

Joseph's POV

I walked around the map, hoping to see Naib. I wanted to pressurise him into admitting that he likes Y/N too. It's pretty obvious that they like each other, and almost all the hunters, besides Jack, thinks so too. Jack said that he saw him flirting with Emma the other day, but I think he's just overthinking it. Naib obviously likes Y/N!

I noticed that the camera world was going to collapse soon, so I sped up a little and continued hunting for Naib.

I walked towards a cipher, and to my absolute disgust and horror, there was Naib. And Emma. Making out.

Had he been just playing with Y/N's feelings? How could he?

I felt a flash of anger shoot through me. I stood there waiting for the camera world to collapse so I could terror shock them both.

When the camera world collapsed, Naib and Emma were still making out, as expected.

And that was not all.

I spotted Y/N standing behind a pallet, looking at them sadly.

"Surprise," I cooed before slashing at Naib with my trusty sword. Naib got incapacitated immediately. I tied him to a balloon roughly, and brought him to a rocket chair.

"J-Joseph! I thought you were playing friendly today?" Naib stuttered, obviously very shocked and terrified.

"Serve you right I guess." I spat, shoving him onto a rocket chair. Then, I saw Tracy running towards the chair.

"Leave him," I growled at her, pointing my sword at her threateningly. She glanced at him and ran away in the direction she came from.

A while later, the rocket chair countdown ended, and it blasted off into the sky.

I found Emma fearfully decoding another cipher not too far away, so I terror shocked her and placed her on a rocket chair.

Your POV

You were crouching beside the pallet, sobbing your eyes out. You couldn't believe it. Naib had been just using you to make Emma jealous.

Your heart felt as if it had just been smashed into a million pieces. You were crying so hard you struggled to catch your breath.

Just then, you felt someone wrap their arms around you. Judging from the size of the arm, it was probably Joseph.

You held onto him tightly, as if your life depended on it, as you cried.

Joseph rubbed circles onto your back comfortingly, and you eventually fell asleep after running out of tears.

"Sweet dreams, my love."
