Up in the boys' apartment, I sat on the couch with my laptop on my legs. The place was empty besides myself and Yeontan, who was curled up and asleep beside me. The windows were open, filling the living room with sunlight and a comfortable breeze, and I had music playing on my phone.

It had been a little over a week since my nightmare and I'd been spending more of my time up here since then, especially when the guys were away and working. I sat down with all of them a few days after it happened to fill them in on everything. I didn't go into extreme detail like I had with JK, but I told them the main points. Trevor, how he treated me, the messages, the phone call, and even the nightmare.

Thankfully, he hadn't called since that day.

They all sat and listened intently with JK holding my hand at my left and Jimin hugging me at my right. They all looked a little worried but assured me that I would be protected. Anyone who worked for the company was covered as far as security goes.

Joon suggested that I talk to some people that run security about this and offered to come with me. Hobi recommended that I have one of the drivers bring me wherever I needed to go since they were also part of the security team. Yoongi blurted out that they should have a hit put out on Trevor. He shrugged when we all stared at him. "What? He's a dick and deserves it for what he's put her through, and is still putting her through. Fuck that guy."

They insisted that I hang out here as often as I wanted to, even though I truly felt that I was encroaching on their space. They wouldn't let me turn down their offer and I couldn't thank them enough. They even gave me one of their spare keys and presented it to me in a little box with a bow on it, which made me laugh.

I loved my apartment but being there alone for the majority of the time suddenly made it feel a little cramped. Sure, I was alone up here a lot lately too due to their busy schedules, but the open space and change of scenery put me at ease.

Plus, I had Tannie, who was always great company.

I heard voices behind the door and didn't look up right away when JK and Jin walked in. I checked my watch and was happy to see that they were finished a couple hours earlier than scheduled. I was trying to finish up what I was working on and smiled when I felt a pair of hands on my shoulders from behind the couch.

JK nuzzled his face against the crook of my neck. "Hi."

I turned my head and planted a quick kiss on his lips. "Hey. You guys are home early. Did everything go okay?"

JK nodded and leaned on his forearms on the back of the couch beside me. "Yeah, we made a lot of progress so we decided to call it quits for today. The rest of the guys have some stuff to work on for themselves. Everything else can wait until tomorrow." He looked over at my laptop then back at me. "How's your stuff going?"

"Not bad. Got a lot done." I resumed typing when he kissed my cheek and stood up, but stopped to watch him join Jin in the kitchen.

JK opened the fridge to grab a drink. "I still have no idea where my phone is." He twisted the cap off of the water bottle and took a swig, looking around.

Jin nodded in my direction. "Why don't you ask your girlfriend? Maybe she's seen it." My eyes shot over in Jin's direction and JK just looked at him, and Jin looked back at him. "What? Is she not your girlfriend?" He looked at me. "Are you not his girlfriend?"

We hadn't put labels on anything. Neither of us had discussed it, mainly because it really didn't matter. At least it didn't to me. But hearing that word out loud for the first time made my heart flutter. And when JK grinned at me from his spot in the kitchen, my heart fluttered again.

He set the bottle down and came over to me, this time sitting down next to me. "Do you want to be my girlfriend?"

I looked over at him, his big brown eyes looking hopeful. He gave the impression that he legitimately thought I would say no, which made me adore him even more. "Do you want to be my boyfriend?"

He looked down and hooked his pinky finger with mine, something he always did when we were walking or sitting together. His eyes moved up to meet mine as he smiled and nodded. "I really do."

I kissed him with my free hand on his cheek. "Why are you being all shy about it?" I moved to close my laptop and set it on the coffee table. I turned to fully face him with a grin. "Of course I'll be your girlfriend."

I heard Jin jokingly make a gagging noise as he walked away and I chuckled.

JK widely smiled, causing his nose to scrunch up, and he pressed his forehead against mine. He let out a quiet 'yay.'

I closed my eyes and smoothed my hand over the back of his neck, my fingers lightly moving his hair. I would watch him turn on the sex appeal while he was performing, but then he could also be a soft little teddy bear, which is who the real JK is to me.

He pulled away with excited eyes. "Let's go out tonight. Just you and me. Someplace nice."

"You mean, like a date?" I didn't know how that would work with him being one of the biggest idols on the planet. I didn't even know how the company would react if we were spotted out together like this. But he was really stoked with the idea.

"Yes. I know the perfect place, too." JK grabbed both of my hands and stood up, bringing me up with him. He was practically bouncing in place. "I'll get it all set up while you go get ready. I'll meet you down at your place in a couple of hours."

I couldn't get a word out. He just grabbed my face and kissed me, and I could feel the excitement radiating through him, which made me excited, too. I chuckled when he pulled back and we walked towards the door.

I was definitely still getting used to being treated this way.

"Okay. Let me know when you're on your way." I kissed him one last time before opening the door. "Also, your phone is still on the table where you left it this morning."
