It was the best night's sleep I'd had since I last saw him. I barely remember hearing him leave in the morning to attend a couple of meetings. I only woke up just enough to feel him kiss my forehead and pull the blankets up to cover my legs, since all I was wearing was one of his t-shirts.
I went into the night figuring it would have been filled with hours and hours of sex, which I wouldn't have minded, but it wasn't. We sat in bed and talked, watched some movies, and enjoyed the occasional makeout session.
Okay, so we went another two rounds. I may have gotten a little carried away. But with the way he smirks at me with that look in his eyes, can you really blame me?
I stirred when I felt a body settle next to me. My head wasn't even on the pillow. I was flat on my stomach with my arm hanging over the edge of the bed.
JK's voice was quiet as he smoothed his hand down my back. "Are you going to sleep the whole day away?"
I brought my arm up and rolled towards him, keeping my eyes closed. He scooted back to the middle of the bed and I blindly moved away from the edge to find him. "Maybe." My arms were curled up against me and I buried my face against his chest. My own voice was still thick with sleep, struggling to wake up. "What time is it?"
He hooked his arm around me. "Almost noon."
I groaned. I couldn't remember the last time I'd slept until noon. I guess I needed it.
JK pulled my face up and I giggled when he lightly rubbed his nose with mine. I finally blinked my eyes open and he smiled when I looked at him. "There she is." He pushed my hair off of my shoulder.
I tilted my face up a little more so I could kiss him. My eyes dropped shut again and I heard him chuckle. I yawned and curled up against him, if it were even possible to get closer. "Did you have a good morning?" My voice was muffled with my face against him.
"Mhmm." He started rubbing my back again. "But I'm jealous that you got to stay here. You looked so comfortable and peaceful." He kissed the top of my head. "And you looked so beautiful. Joon had to practically drag me away and out the door so we wouldn't be late."
I looked up at him with squinty eyes. "You're too much."
"I'm just being honest." JK kissed the tip of my nose. "And I have a surprise for you."
I groaned again. "Kookie, you know how I feel about surprises." It's not that I wasn't grateful. His surprises were always wonderful. I just still haven't gotten used to someone wanting to do nice things for me all the time.
He laughed and sat up against the headboard, bringing me up with him. "Aww, come on. Have I disappointed you yet?"
I snuggled up at his side. He could never disappoint me. He was an amazing man who never failed to make me feel special. "Okay. Go on." I looked up at him with my head resting on his shoulder.
"We're going on a little trip." His fingers twirled around the ends of my hair. "Just you and me. I found a nice place up in the mountains for us to escape to."
"Really?" My eyes widened and I sat upright, curling my legs as I sat next to him. Then my face fell a little when I thought about the recent events. "But did you forget that there are people out there watching me?"
JK shook his head. "I have it all figured out." He took my hand into his. "Everything will be fine. I promise. You don't have to worry about any of that."
I knew that the guys all had some time off this upcoming week with the tour being just around the corner. It was a chance for them to relax before everything kicked into high gear. Everyone else had plans to visit their families and get away, but JK's parents were on their own vacation and out of town. He was a little bummed but planned on taking a trip to see them some other time. I figured that we would just hang out here instead, but I can't blame him for wanting to get out of here for a bit.
I smiled. I trusted him more than anything, so I knew that we would be safe. He would never do anything to risk putting either of us in harm's way. Now I was brimming with excitement. "When do we leave?"
"Tomorrow evening." He smirked. "So it might be a good idea to get up and start packing."
My mouth dropped open. "Tomorrow?!" I hopped up onto my knees, feeling a small wave of panic. "But what about work? I have to wrap things up. I have things to submit. I have to get ahold of-"
JK laughed and grabbed both of my hands. "I took care of that too. You won't have to think about work until after we get back." He gently pulled me against him again. "Work won't exist where we're going. All that will matter is us."
I let go of his hands to hold his face and kiss him. "How long are we going for? What should I bring?"
"Five days." He kept his face close to mine and wiggled his eyebrows. "But you won't need to pack too many clothes. I don't think you'll need them."
I smirked. "Oh, I see how it is." I pulled away and moved to start to get up. "You're whisking me away for a bang fest in the middle of nowhere."
JK lunged after me and pushed me down onto the bed beneath him with a small laugh. "I hope that's not a complaint."
I closed my eyes and sighed when his mouth found my neck. "Definitely not a complaint."
I thought of all of the mornings we would wake up together and how I'd wish that we could stay there all day. Now we will five days of uninterrupted bliss. I had no idea exactly where he was taking me, but I already knew that I'd never want to leave.
