"I don't think I can go on anymore rides, my gut feels like punching me in the face." I groaned painfully. We were currently at a table at one of the food stands that had kebabs. "Just the slightest movement's gonna make me barf. I think I'm coming down with motion sickness." I said letting out the contents of my mouth into the bag in my hand. It was a little passed half now.
We had eaten a lot of everything and anything in the carnival. Lots of unhealthy junk food stands owners already knew our faces. We had to stuff ourselves over and over again before going on the rides.
We had gone on the bumper cars which triggered Jenny's vomit she's been holding in. At the sight of vomit we all puked. Then we went on a ride that involved us spinning in the air and I almost did it on the ride. That would have been a nasty sight. Then we rode a log down a waterway, then the Ferris wheel, then a rollercoaster and a couple of other rides.
The smell of vomit was in the air and I also think some of it got in my hair. I don't think I know the right verbs to describe this game, wait let me try, I have a few: Disgustingly fun, competitively gross, extremely tiring and unbelievably painful.
"I think I'm with Harley on this one." Isabel said putting her head on table. "Let's just see who won already. I'm tired." She put up her barf bag on the tabletop and when I caught a whiff of it I delivered some disgusting goods into my bag. The others groaned at the sight.
"I'm in pain!" Jenny said dramatically. "Horrible, horrible pain!"
"As much as I'll like to complain about my gut and how I won't be eating onion rings again for a month or two, I'll also like to be called champion of this game so let's get it over with" George said.
We all put up our bags on the table and unsurprisingly, George's bag was full with vomit, coming close was Tom, surprisingly.
George couldn't move much but still pumped his hand in the air. "Oh yea-ou..." He said cradling his stomach. "Didn't know you had it in you Tom." George continued still holding his stomach.
"I still feel very much sick." Tom said weakly.
"I don't know about you guys but I hate the taste of barf so let's find some water." Jacky suggested.
We found some water at a stand and we all took huge and long gulps cause it was really helpful with the tummy ache. Just as I was about to call it a day and say we hit the game booths tomorrow the guardians decided to show up, well not exactly show since we can't see them but you get what I mean.
"Young ones!" The voice that still gives me the creeps called out and I think we all jumped a little.
"Now they show up." I muttered exasperated. Jenny motioned for us to huddle together.
"So people won't think we're crazy talking to the air around us." She reasoned.
"Guardians we're listening. Where can we find this magical book?" Jacky asked.
"Warriors it is in a structure we believe you earthlings call a booth."
"How did it get there?" Tom asked furrowing his brows. "Isn't a book that promises so much power be somewhere... I don't know, safer, more challenging, adventuring maybe?"
"You're right young one but it is trusted with a sage. One who is wise and knowledgeable about all of this in your world."
