A/N - I'm gonna take a week or 2 before the next update but hopefully will be posted before. I have a rough outline that keeps changing as I go on. Also the next chapter will have more lost boys in it 🍷

Also as the song suggests, staying or going is the theme of this chapter. ❤❤❤

Roxanne had slept fairly peacefully that night, waking up with the feeling of rest and comfort. It had been midday when she was up, her alarm clock displaying 2, in a flashing red. Roxanne realized quick, she had forgotten to set an alarm last night like she usually did. It was well into the afternoon and she couldn't quite help but wonder why nobody seemed to want to wake her up. It wasn't as if the dynamics had changed so much, meals were still eaten as a family albeit not as often as before everyone settled into the seaside town.

Aside from some serious ass kissing to their mom, nothing much had happened out of the ordinary. Sam hadn't been in her room mainly because Roxanne had yet to step foot on the boardwalk and pick up a movie for them. Michael had still been a little distant and had disappeared a few times, no doubt going to see his girlfriend, Star. So much for sibling closeness? Roxanne didnt really mean it and rubbed her cheek against the pillow for the second time. It was about time she settled in too, it might help if she could get into a normal sleeping pattern.

Eyes flickered, half lidded and back on her alarm clock. It was now 12.20. Sighing, now she really knew it was time to get up but the sheets were almost too comfy to leave.

As for why no body thought to wake her, she realized she might the alone for the day. Lucy could be ruled out, she knew how much her mom was working and those hours always seemed to increase little by little. If she didn't know any better she might have said her mom had a little schoolgirl crush on Max, the owner. The last time she actually had a proper family time aside from meals must have been a while. Everyone was going their own way and it only made her long for routine but also the nagging part of her brain telling her to go her own way too. Then again she had still yet to explore the Santa Carla fully, meet people- okay maybe not the nightly usual because they were definitely not her kind of people. The boys who had bothered her yet dared to cause such a reaction within her were not friends to her atleast she wasn't sure what to think.

As she got up with a new sense of energy and fully awake to the world, rather than a sleepy cocoon of sheets. Her cheek tingled and she couldn't explain it, it was like there was a hand on her cheek. The feeling was like that of a phantom touch but it somehow made her think about the boys again. Not just any, the soft caresses from Marko in her momentary lapse of judgement leading her to makeout with the boy. It felt the same as his touch and she weirded herself out for immediately jumping to Marko for something so small. At the thought, the mere memory she couldn't help but feel red in the face, embarrassment leading the way becuase that's exactly what it was to her among other things she wasn't willing to explore just yet, embarassing.

The day went by like clockwork. The soon confirmed empty house had been quiet and deadly still for the most part, it made eating breakfast a little boring and lonely. It was cold and so she decided to take her half eaten bowl of cereal up the stairs to her room. Atleast then she could eat in the comfort of her own bed. Lucy wasn't their to reprimand her for it either so why not? She would just have to be extra careful not to mess up the bed or sheets as she ate and wandered off to what she was going to do.

Roxanne couldn't help but hum as she padded down the stairs. It was too quiet for her. It normally didn't bother her as much as it did now and as she slid back into the kitchen she was reminded of how empty her life felt right now. Michael had been lucky enough to land a girlfriend although she wasn't sure how that was going with their current no going out at night unless absolutely necessary. Mivhael admitted the guys were dangerous and jackasses that was his main reason for not going out as much, to avoid them. Sam had in her words found his people, in the shape of a comic book shop and it's two underaged comic book enthusiast owners. He had only told her enough to know know where he was hanging most days if their mom didn't spring a family lunch or dinner on them.
