{Your P.O.V}
It's been a few days, at least that's what Zex told me. Apparently time goes differently here on Daemos than back on Earth. My phone timer actually proves that.
How does my phone still work? Hell if I knew!--- Oh, wait. Actually... I newest phone I got... It last quite... I mean-- a long time, a gift from my parents before I left the country.
And today was the day I finally finished my outfit. Zex was out at the moment so I decided to quickly change into it and put on my crafty horns afterwards. Luckily I had some wire, clips and what not... Super helpful I tell ya'!
I turned on my phone once again and went to view myself on the camera. I could barely see myself on the screen because of the darkness, but I was able to see myself a little. I looked pretty decent. At least I'd pass for some epic cosplayer.
I did some additional final touches such as face paint. And I was officially done!
And that's exactly when I heard noise from behind me. Turning around, as expected, it was Zex, but this time he looked quite surprised by my new appearance.
"Ah, you're back... What do you think about my new look?" I asked, gesturing to the outfit and horns
For a moment he just stared at me, as if in a sort of trance.
"...If I look bad, you can just say it....." I huffed
"It's not bad..." He finally replies, looking off to the side
"Anyways, I've been bored here Zex. How about you take me out?" I asked
"...You want me to kill you?" He questioned, narrowing his eyes in clear confusion
"I mean take me out of this place to where you usually go. You've been leaving quite a lot recently and you've just been leaving me here to rot..! Also, i'm getting hungry...." I muttered
He let's out an annoyed sigh.
"...You... You can't be serious..." He murmured
I narrowed my eyes "About being hungry? No, humans need food to survive you kno--"
"I meant about you wanting to leave here. Do you know remember what happen last time when I let you outside?" He reminded me
"Yeah, and I almost died. So what..?" I replied
"And you weren't scared in the slightest?" He asked
"N-No! Of course not!" I barked
Of course there was that little bit where I was pleading for my life, but that was stupid of me to do so. I fought battles and am still standing! And in this kind of world... If I can't fight my way in this world then what's the point of my existence at all..?
"L-listen. Take me with you! For all I care, you could keep me locked in a cage or store me somewhere else! I just want to go outside and explore. I look the part of a Daemos, right?!" I asked
"You look more like an assassin than anything. If I decided to bring you with me than you'd probably be killed on the spot for being an unwanted guest" Zex explained
"Then can't you at least try to persuade them to make me a wanted guest?" I asked
He shook his head in disagreement and crossing his arms over his chest.
"Even if I could of. It's very unlikely" He replies
I let out a sigh of disappointment.
"...Could you at least take me out once in a while?" I muttered underneath my breath
"If I have the time, I will" He says, turning away to walk out again
"H-hey! You're leaving already..!?" I exclaimed
"I just came here to check on you, that's all" He replies
"B-but... I'm hungry..." I pouted
"...I'll bring something back for you. Wait a little longer" He says
He then leaves.
I couldn't help but let myself fall onto the ground. I wasn't tired, I was just disappointed.... frustrated at the fact I can't leave this house.
But then again...
"I can just go outside again..." I mutter to myself, getting up "no one is here to stop be, Zex is gone wherever he went, and I can just leave and come back!"
Then it's final. I'll leave right now and be back before the next upcoming hour.
I put a timer on my phone to signal me when I should head back, tucking it into my pocket, I grabbed the saber and headed out instantly after that.
No one can stop me.
Rushing out of the house, I made sure to keep going in one direction so I know where I'd be going if I needed to turn back.
And if I see danger. I'll make sure to run. Zex won't be there for me a second time.
Zipping past many trees and streams of what I assume is water? I ended up in front of a fire pit. Upon closer inspection, it seems to recently be distinguished.
"I wonder..." I hummed to myself
Could this have been from more of those palace guards? Have they noticed their possible buddies are missing? Or... Is it someone else entirely?
Before I could think anything more, I felt a presence behind me, I was able to elbow them in the stomach and upon turning around, I saw someone I noticed.
"Wait... You were one of the guys in the apartment!!" I exclaimed, my mouth was instantly clasped over by a hand from another person who somehow also ended up behind me
Then, the rest of them showed up.
They were still in their casual clothes, horns still showing.
One of them gasped, the one with orange horns to be exact "H-hey! Isn't that Princess Ava's cousin?"
"I... I thought she was just some other lowly assassin for a second.... B-but, I guess it is that cousin" the one with white hair manages to say
"then why don't you let me go then?" I managed to say under the hand what was over my mouth
The hand was removed and I looked at all five guys-- erm... Daemos.
"S-so it really is you guys..." I said
"Why do you look different from before?" The tall guy with the tattoo asked
"Got a little glow-up, anyways. I have a whole lotta' questions for you all. And if you can explain and answer them, I can hopefully answer some of yours as well" I state
They all looked at each other and made a silence agreement with one another.
"Then ask, we don't have much time" The guy who looked like he shopped at hot topic said
I then instantly took in a deep breath and asked my questions.
