School was boring for the rest of the week, aside from spending a lot more time with Jenny. And Ace.

"Finally! The weekend!" I hear my dad cheer from downstairs. I laugh to myself a little. I just finish getting ready when there's a knock at my door.

"One second!" I call, pulling on a shirt quickly. I open the door.

"Hey." Ace says walking over and sitting in a beanbag chair. I know, not very fancy. I don't care. My room takes up the entire fifth and sixth floor. Pretty cool right?

"Hey. What's up?" I ask. I assume something's wrong right away because normally Ace and Jenny are never away from each other.

"Nothing much. Jenny's hanging out with some friend my mom made for her. They're getting along I guess. I got bored so mom said I could come here." He explains. I let out a quiet sigh of relief. Then I swallow that sigh when I hear a scream come from downstairs. Ace and I share a worried look, both hearing the stories of the Neverseen, and rush downstairs. I don't see my parents anywhere, but there's a note left on the table.

Dearest Aj,

I know you've never met me, and you've probably heard some terrible stories about me from my son, but I'm your grandmother. I hoped we could meet on better circumstances, but your father didn't agree.

Xoxo,

Gisela.

The note falls form my hand.

"Woah. Are you okay Aj?" Ace looks form me to the note. I slump against the wall, Ace sitting beside me and wrapping me in a hug, which I'm very grateful for at the moment.

"My-my own g-grandmother. Why?" I sob. He just stays there. I feel him shake his head after a minute.

"I don't know Aj. I wish I could tell you, but I just don't know."
