"Come man please, I just need to go check up on my car" Jaemin looked towards his friend who had a displeased expression on his face. "Why cant you just go when its done though?" he asked.
"Its will literally take ten minutes." The other pleaded to Donghyuck. The boy let out an aggravated sigh and grabbed onto his keys, making Jaemin's features light up. "Thank you" he said and the two walked out to Donghyuck's sleek sports car.
He took his place in the driver's seat while Jaemin sat himself in the passengers. To avoid wasting any time, Donghyuck sped down the roads making sure that he was just at the speeding limit so that he doesn't get caught for breaking the law.

Back at the shop, Seohyun was currently rolled under a junk car, trying to remove a certain piece from it so that she can reuse it in another car.
"How's it going along honey?" She heard her father's voice call out from above. "Alright I guess, the piece is kind of rusty though, we might have to fix it up" she informed, finally with one last pull, she was able to remove the part from its place in the under carriage.
Once she rolled herself out from under the vehicle, she made her way towards the back to grab herself a drink from their cooler. Being under a car can almost be compared to sitting in a sauna she believed.
"Hey there Mr. Min" Jaemin flashed a smile towards Seohyun's father who was sitting by the front desk of the shop. "Hey Jaemin, Seo is in the back, im assuming you want to check up on your car" Jaemin nodded to his assumption, before making his way to the back of the small warehouse. Donghyuck followed aimlessly behind him.
The warehouse was filled with cars, some lifted up onto mechanical jacks to be able to work under them. Seohyun saw Jaemin and another guy walk into the warehouse from where she was.
"Whats up rat- oh and.." she recognized the other male as the guy who won the race last night. Though she was having a hard time remembering his name. "Haechang was it?" She asked sheepishly, knowing what she guessed was wrong when Jaemin laughed.
"Its Haechan actually" the boy responded grimly. "Oops sorry" she giggled placing down her drink and grabbing a towel to clean her dirtied hands.
"So im assuming you're here to check up on your girl?" Seohyun asked Jaemin who nodded in response. She led them to the left side of the warehouse where Jaemin's car was being worked on, but to the guys, it seem like everything was perfect.
"I changed the oil and replaced the back left tire so she's ready to go." Seohyun informed and watched as the two boys analyzed the car.
"Is it too much to ask for a waxing?" He asked with a sweet smile, but Seohyun just groaned knowing that it would just be more work added to her already prolonged to-do list.
"I'll pay extra"
"Deal!" Her expression changed quickly when she heard his words. "Let me do a last round check before I polish it up."
"You heading to the arena tonig-" Jaemin was abruptly cut off by Seohyun's hand which was slapped against his mouth. "Shhh!" She shushed quietly, hoping that her father wasn't present when he said that.
"You know that my dad doesn't like me attending races, so keep quiet about that here" Jaemin nodded, wiping his face which was now dirtied with car grease. "And yes, i will be attending tonight" she smiled in excitement. Just thinking about going to the track made her thrilled.
"Do you race?" Donghyuck asked this time which surprised Seohyun since she hasn't heard him speak yet. "I do but not often since I don't own a car. Usually I borrow my brother's car to race." She explained and he hummed in response.
"Though I sometimes race with my bike if that even counts." She added
"What are you talking about- of course that counts" Jaemin spoke out, "you're the best biker out there" the compliment made Seohyun smile. But to her, racing with cars was completely different to racing with bikes.
But in reality, she was just secretly ashamed at the fact that she doesn't have her own car- and she's the daughter of an Auto Mechanic. "Alright get outta here, I gotta finish working on this crazy lady's car before she gets here, and I really don't want to deal with her Karen-headass- see you later tonight"
♢
Seohyun made her way into the music blazing arena with her helmet in hand. Down by the main pavement, she found her friends huddled together conversing, probably talking about who's going up against each other tonight.
"Seohyun? I thought you couldn't make it tonight." Chenle asked with a confused expression. She had mentioned to some of them that she wasn't going to be able to make it tonight but here she was in front of them with a smirk gracing her lips.
"I got it sorted out- oh by the way, my dad thinks in sleeping over your place tonight so just letting you know im heading home with you" she flashed a smile to Doyeon who rolled her eyes and chuckled at her friend.
"Who's racing tonight?"
"Its actually a bike race tonight- you should sign up" Renjun nudged her shoulder with a smile. "Nah im too tired" Seohyun dropped her shoulders and crossed her arms.
"Do it Seo! How long has it been since your last race? A month right?"
"No need to rub it in Jeno"
"What are you scared or something?"
Seohyun had to pause to know if she heard that correctly. She turned around to see Donghyuck leaned against his car with hands in his pockets. "Did you say something?" her question left the others quiet as they watched Seohyun walk towards Donghyuck. Unlike him, they know never to assume anything about the girl, as it was something she's always hated about human nature.
"Ooh did I strike a nerve?" The boy asked teasingly, finding it amusing that what he said bothered her. Seohyun looked into his dark eyes and put on a smile. "Listen babe" she said alarmingly sweet. "Im not afraid of a little race- so next time don't go saying shit when you don't even know me"
"I wont believe it til I see it." He hit back, confidently oozing out of his words.
