Alec raced across the battlefield everything seemed to move in slow motion. Someone from the other group had a dagger to (Y/N)'s throat. He recognized the person with his Raven black hair and deep green eyes. Dominic, the leader. He had been so confident that they would win, but he knew the bottle was lost as Dominic slit (Y/N)'s throat. "NO!" He exclaimed. He raised the gun she'd given him. He didn't use them much, but they were good for long distances.

The bullet only hit Dominic's side and he disappeared into the rest of the battle. Alec collapsed beside (Y/N), tears in his eyes. That was strange, he never cried. "No, no no no no no . . ." He said. "No, we have to find someone who can help you!"

(Y/N) looked into Alec's eyes as a single tear dripped down her cheek. "No." She managed to choke out.

Alec then understood. He pressed his lips to her bloodied mouth for the last time. (Y/N) was the only one to love him. She saw past his hard mask and helped him love again. She put him back together after so many years of being broken, and now she was leaving too. This was why he didn't like opening his heart to anyone, it hurt him too much.

He wrapped his arms around her in a hug and started sobbing. He didn't know when he stopped but the light was disappearing behind the trees when he realized he was staring at a tree dully. Some people came near the body to grieve but he wouldn't let anyone touch her. His only love, (Y/N), was gone.

The next few days weren't any better, he never left (Y/N)'s side. When anyone walked by, they didn't look at him anymore. When they did, they saw someone as lifeless as the girl who lay at his feet. Only one little girl with light brown hair and hazel eyes came to bring him meals, although he never ate.

Alec was completely broken. Everytime someone would talk to him, he wouldn't even acknowledge them. If it rained, he wouldn't even flinch at the wet or the cold. His mind was completely empty of any thought. He hadn't walked since the day he lost (Y/N), he only sat by her side.

A week after the battle, the group - which had formed into one after so many had been lost - prepared to move on. As they were about to leave, Dominic walked over to Alec. "Either come with us or stay with her. Either way, you die." He said.

Alec looked up, for once acknowledging the person talking to him. He didn't say anything though. The look on his face was enough to tell he wasn't planning on ever leaving the corpse.

Dominic nodded and raised his dagger. "As you wish." With a quick slash of the dagger, Alec's throat had a gash on it. Dominic then walked away.

Alec's eyes rolled in the back of his head and he collapsed to lay on the ground. He pulled (Y/N)'s body closer to him and wrapped his arms around him. I'm coming, my love . . .

Those were his last thoughts as the light died from his eyes. Finally, Alec would have his happy ending in the afterlife. Where no one could ever harm him or (Y/N) again.
