An Innocents Betrayal

The war and the fallen

3rd POV

Naruto looked over his village, watching every single Shinobi gear up for battle. Today is the day all three allied villages go to war against Konoha in an attempt at freeing the captured inhabitants.

"Naruto, a scout came back. They have left Konoha. it is time to go" Tsunade said after appearing next to him. With a sad sigh Naruto stood and body flickered to the entrance, in less than a minute every shinobi was assembled in front of him looking determined and fired up.

"Today we fight not just for ourselves but for the freedom of a whole village, a village that was captured by horrible tyrants. Our goal is to capture or subdue our enemies not kill them, lethal force may be used if your or someone else's life is in danger. Remember we are fighting against a lot of innocent and brain washed people. I have seen the potential each and every one of you carry, many of you will be an asset to our victory. We do this now for our village and for our loved ones." Naruto ended with a shout, the rest joining in.

After half an hour of travel, Naruto and his allies have spotted the Konoha ninja in the far distance. Hundreds of Shinobi forced to battle. Quickly Naruto signaled the earth style users to submerge themselves and some of the medics to fall back ready to repair any damage done to their forces. Naruto stood in the middle looking not just at the incoming army but also his own precious people. With a bowed head and clenched fist he yelled out the ready mark. Naruto raised his fist and signaled, initiating the charge. Soon enough both forces clashed, metal against metal, punches kicks jutsus and every sort of projectile being throw around the battle field. Naruto had stayed behind since he was in charge of a larger portion of the plan. He charged chakra throughout his body slowly activating his mixed sage modes and watched as the underground unit buried the a large chunk of the opposing army up to their heads. Naruto watched every clan heir fight against their own clan trying their best at limiting the damage and showing master level clan techniques. Everything was going according to plan until he saw a yellow flash and watched his mother fall to her husbands hand. Naruto's eyes widened mouth open and eyes burning.

"No... please not again" Naruto heard a scream and looked to over at Orochimaru and Tsunade who were fighting Jiraya. Tsunade had been burned badly and Orochimaru was now clashing ferociously against Jiraya with unleashed rage. Naruto felt Kurama roar within him and suddenly his chakra flared up an unbelievable amount. Naruto jumped into the sky keeping himself there with the help of Iris her wings flapping with enough force to deflect jutsus thrown at him. Cato his dear ninken and Paulani his Wolf companion were below him doing their best to keep every shinobi away from the area using taijutsu techniques and elemental jutsus respectively.

"Do it now Naruto. If this goes on any longer more people will get hurt" Kurama yelled. Naruto felt his chakra core fluctuate before it charge his whole body. "now." Kurama whispered with sadness in his voice.

As soon as he said that Naruto opened his mouth and slowly a somber melody erupted from his throat rippling out on the battlefield for miles. Every shinobi stopped and watched as Naruto released chains from his body. Millions and millions of chains captured every single enemy shinobi wrapping around their limbs and melding into their skin like roots into soil. Painless and efficient, the chains started glowing and spreading all over their bodies in the form of vein like vines. soon enough the battle field was covered in blinding lights until finally they shattered leaving, releasing the shinobi and letting them collapse still conscious but recovering and regaining their minds. Every single Shinobi except Danzo and Sarutobi were on the ground and slowly Naruto was lowered onto the ground as well.

Letting out a sigh of relief he stumbled forwards before kicking off the ground and appearing in front of both men at inhuman speed. With seal tags placed on their foreheads they were immobilized and victory was brought... or so Naruto thought. He turned and was about to motion for someone to take charge of them when he felt something pierce his back and come out his chest. looking down at it he realized his mistake, there protruding from his chest was a staff that could not be mistaken by anyone else's but the third Hokage. Naruto slowly turned to look at his killer and his suspicions were confirmed when both old men showed their own seals place on the side of their necks to negate other seals placed upon them.
