Previously:" Ok, so, both of us want to destroy Jace. Well, I have a plan..."
Hazels POV:
By the Angel, I still could not believe I'm with Jonathan Morgenstern, plotting to win this war against Jace Herondale and Clary Morgenstern!! This still felt like a dream!! Jonathan was always my favourite book character and I kind of had a fictional book crush on him since forever. I knew that he was in a relationship with the Seelie Queen in the books but I was hoping that it was not true, since there were many things that happened in the book that didn't happen now.
So, Jonathan suggested that I infiltrate the Institute and find out more about their plans. I'm going to be disguised as one of the many shadowhunters whom the Clave sent to the Institute to help Mayrse Lightwood run the Institute since Robert Lightwood was the Inquisitor. According to Jonathan, I'm about the age of Isabelle, only that I'm older than her by a few months.
Since the Institute and the Clave don't really care about mundanes, and they think Jonathan hates them, they are never going to think that he used a mundane to infiltrate the Institute.
Jonathan's POV:
Hmm... I should let Hazel train a bit before going to the Institute. She does not look like a shadowhunter; Too skinny and not enough muscle. She should also be able to fight in case she was discovered, although I don't see the reason for her to be unless she purposely screws up or was threatened. Which reminds me, I should probably teach her to withstand pain too, if she gets interrogated by the Clave, she needs to learn not to break under pain and pressure. Luckily, she's a mundane and cannot be trialed by the Mortal Sword.
"You need to train for a few months before you go to the Institute. That should give you plenty of time to achieve some skills, at the very least." I explained to Hazel. She nodded eagerly and agreed.
Hazel's POV:
Oh my God!! A chance to train with the Jonathan Morgenstern??? This is my dream come true!! I can't wait to learn to fight, especially with him. "He's so attractive!!" My fangirling brain screamed out at me as I smiled dreamily, thinking of the ways I could get acquainted with him... This could be the perfect moment to get him to fall in love with me!!
3rd Person's POV:
When training, Hazel was under a lot of stress, causing her to lose her focus. However, Jonathan would always be patient with her, always pointing out her mistakes and correcting them. They had gotten closer in the past few months.
However, there was one day that caused Hazel to lose her temper. She had been throwing knives. No matter how much she corrected her grip, they just wouldn't hit the centre. Jonathan had been helpfully giving her tips when out of a sudden, something in her snapped. It was like a wall of a dam had been broken and out poured an overwhelming hatred for everything; Jonathan, the knives, the target, and most of all, herself. She felt a ringing in her ears and pressure against the back of her eyes and screamed out loud.
Then, she heard someone else cry out: Jonathan was on his knees, clutching his head and stomach as he tried to curl up in the fetal position. He croaked out, "Wha-, What is that?" and gasped out loud when Hazel turned to look at him.
"Your eyes, they are...they are glowing"
