Grown Up

A/N: Thank you for your patience on this, I have edited the chapters until now so hopefully it all flows little better but if you see any typos on any chapters let me know, sorry I have kept you waiting for so long, but Hana and Rikuo's story is continuing..-Amber 

We woke up the next morning ready to leave, and said goodbye to everyone at the main gate. Wakana had packed us a nice lunch and we would be back by the evening we decided it wasn't too far and we would take the Oboroguruma cart to be quick.

Kubinashi wanted to come with us but Rikuo said he would be needed here helping with wedding arrangements. 

I think the decision to go alone was the right one, we haven't been able to ask each other certain things for fear of being over heard or watched.. well I know I feel that way I don't know about Rikuo. 

We went in the cart and Tsurara gave me a haori, I looked at her with a confused look;

"It can get cold further up the mountains Lady Hana, please take this to keep warm!" I smiled at her and thanked her. Perhaps I have adapted to the warmer climate down here at the Nura mansion , it didn't even cross my mind that the temperature may have been different back at my home,

I tried not to giggle at the irony of a yuki-onna being concerned about me getting cold. 

Before I knew it we were off, I sat down on the pillows in the cart and placed the haori next to me for later.

I let out a sigh of relief at being alone at last with Rikuo, the buzz of so many people in a social setting really does take it out of you. I felt slight guilt at my relief but at the same time it was so lovely to finally have moment with him alone. 

I looked to Rikuo who had sat down comfortably on a pillow across from me and was looking at me directly, giving a smirk.

"What's that for?" I questioned 

It just made his smirk get bigger, I swear this man...

"Come here Hana..." He was in a teasing mood I could tell, so why not tease him back a little...

"What's going to happen if I don't? Will you come to me? " I challenged, my gaze drifting away from him and to the outside clouds we passed by. 

The next thing I knew Rikuo was sat next me and had his arm around my waist pulling me close to him. I didn't resist, I leant back into his embrace and brought his arm around my front and held it close to me.

"Were you that desperate for affection, you walked over here while we're flying? I'm impressed." I joked bringing his hand up to my lips and lightly kissing it before returning it to my lap. 

"I would walk the world to get to you, my love. I finally get a moment alone with you, truly alone, I want to enjoy it" He replied, he sounded tired I suppose he also has to keep up an appearance in front of the other clan leaders. There is something else I'm curious about...

"Hm, I'm the same I'm glad we feel the same way, I'll treasure every moment with you"

"Is there anything you want to ask me, I can feel you're uncertain about something?" He asked 

"Perhaps later...right now, I just want to enjoy your company" I said snuggling deeper into his chest. 

"I see, well it won't be long until we arrive, I can't remember the last time I visited your clan's estate, it was many years ago now... has it changed a lot?"
