"Wasn't sure how much sugar you'd want so I brought the tin." Alison hurried back into the living room with a tray in her head, she set it down and straightened up. She smiled at Mason in Ada's hands, combing through her hair with his little fingers. "Hope he wasn't a bother." She held her arms out, to which Mason held his arms up, eager to be back in his mother's arms. "No, he's an angel." Ada smiled. Alison sat on a separate sofa, opposite them with her son in her lap. She was hung on the idea that Ada's face looked so familiar , maybe she'd seen her walking through small heath, perhaps?

Alison frowned for a moment, she looked uncertain. "I'm sorry, why Sallyanna? I'm just a bit confused." She asked, not knowing the connection between her and them. Ada nodded and looked to pol. "Anna is my daughter." She smiled and bit her bottom lip, "Was." She corrected herself. Alisons mouth fell slightly in an O shape, and her eyebrows dropped at the revelation. She took some time to digest the information. It was strange to her, Anna, sweet kind Anna, how in the hell could she be related to such savages? Murderers. She'd heard the stories about the Shelby's after war, they ran things around here now, working against the law. Then again sitting here, the women on her sofa posed no threat at all. But she wasn't an idiot either, of course two people wanting information would ask nicely, she was the only one around to give it. She wouldn't take advantage of that, she wasn't cruel. "Well ", what'd you wanna know?"

Polly looked to Ada with a smile, glad she was cooperating, "And we didn't even have to threaten her." Polly whispered, Ada rolled her eyes. "In the letters she wrote Michael-"

"Who's Michael?" She interrupted.

"The brother."

"Right." Alison recalled Elsie encouraging Anna to write to him.

"She mentioned you, said you were her sister."

Alison nodded.
