I'm Done Chasing My Brother

A New Understanding

"C-calm down,Angela! Put your brother down!" Their mother shouted.

Their father is trembling in his seat while still holding a newspaper.

Adrian is looking away like a cool guy he was but his eyes are actually trembling looking here and there.

Angela blinks.

"Look here, are you actually.....Actually looking after me?"

"Angela! Put your brother down!"

Angela sighs and about to put Adrian down when she sees him nod his head slowly.

'This idiot?'

She let go and sigh heavily.

Adrian looks at her while tilting his head.

Their mother is still dissatisfied.
"You have no manners! What's gotten in you?" Their mother shouted in anger pointing at her with a fork.

Angela suddenly cried.

"Wahh?" Their mother finally stop shouting.

Their father is also at losts.

"Why are you crying?" Adrian asks.

"That...That is just too cute I am crying!" Angela said crying out loud.
"And it comes from you...so I'm also confused." Then she pointed at Adrian's confused face.

Right.
Adrian is always doing things that irritates Angela.
Like telling her the answer to her assignments while she is struggling.
Like giving her his umbrella when it is raining.
Like walking her home when she is being chased by a dog.

'Come to think of it....Isn't he like a perfect brother?'

Angela looks at Adrian.
He always wears this cool face that looks like he can't be bothered.
Has always misinterpreted him because of it?
No...She just doesn't want to think of his good qualities because she wants to be better than him.

It seems anger can blind an open eyes.

"So...you don't hate me?"

Adrian's eyes dilated.
He stares at her for a few seconds and slowly shakes his head.

"Say it and do not take too long to reply!" She said angrily.

"I told you not to shout!" Their mother shouted.

"I....Do not hate....you."
Is what he said in great difficulty.

Angela covered her face with her palm.

They all look at her.

"Why is this child being so strange today?" Their Mom said.

"Is it an upset stomach?" Their father ask.

'No...No! This is not what I remember! This is not my family! Maybe I am in an alternate world! That's right. This is an alternate world!'

There are people that are meant to be a role model.
They are perfect in every angle and it's so hard to reach them and stand beside them.
But they are also human beings.

Nobody can be perfectly perfect.

"Are you....having trouble talking to me?" She said and looked at Adrian.

Adrian frowns.
His signature frown that makes everyone stay away from him, even her, his own twin sister.

After a couple of watching his dangerous frown.
He nods.

"Like I said SPEAK TO ME AND STOP ANSWERING SO SLOW!"

"Angela! I said no shouting!"

Angela wakes up in the past to walk the different path she walked before or so she thought....it appears she time traveled so she can mock herself from not seeing what is obviously in front of her eyes..

It seems she is not ........hated too.
