Juilet's pov:

"You'll be fine and remember you only have 24 hours as soon as you swallow that pill. You have to get out before your time runs out," Mingyu reminded me

Mingyu escorted me to the entrance of the valley as he remind me the plan again. If you're wondering where namjoon and jinyoung is, they're back at the cave. Jinyoung claim that it is just for safety precaution for mingyu and that he's distracting namjoon with training. Clever but I think namjoon will figure it out soon. He doesn't know that I left already. So much for being mated to each other...

"This is as far as I can go. Just head straight and you'll be at shadow valley. You must reach the heart of the valley to find the answers. Good luck, your majesty," mingyu bowed

"You don't have to do that and thanks," I smiled as I turn around to carry on walking

As I kept walking, I can't help to feel nervous. I'll be on my own without the boys. It's great but what if I mess up. NO, I should stop thinking that way. Let's think positively. I wonder if there are any friendly hybrids in there. I doubt it but one can only hope. Soon, I arrive at the entrance of the valley. This is it. I took out the pill and a bottle of water. This is my last chance to turn around and run back to mingyu.

"No, I can do this," I whisper to myself

I quickly swallow the pill down and nothing happens. I guess mingyu was right nothing happen to me just that my powers will only reveal when I need it to. I just hope it works though.

"How do I know when I reach the heart of the valley?" I ask myself

"Oh, you mean the shadow nest?" I heard a voice ask beside me

"Ah!!! Oh, you scared me?" I laughed, nervously

I was facing a cat hybrid and his ears and tail are similar to mine. For the matter of fact, he's a real and I hope mine portray the same idea.

"Its fine. I'm still getting used to my powers. I'm woozi, who are you? I never seen you before?" He question

"I'm Juliet and I just got here," I told him what I rehearse with mingyu

"I know that you're human," he said as he walk away

"Wait What? How did you know?" I ask as I try to catch up with him

"Saw you just now with mingyu," he said

"You know mingyu?"I ask as he suddenly stop walking

"Yeah, I know him. Follow me. You're not safe here out in the open," he said as he carry on walking

"How can I trust you?" I ask him, unsure

"Would you rather stay out here and get caught in your act?" He ask as he turn a corner

I realise what he said was right and I quickly ran after him. For a cat hybrid, damn can they be fast.

"We're going to my house and don't worry. I live alone," he reassured me.

Honestlh, that was a relief cause I wouldn't have any idea on how to hide my intentions here. After a while of walking, we arrive at his house. His house is small but it's perfect for someone who wants to live alone.

"Nice house," I complement as we enter the house

"Thanks, make yourself comfortable," he said as he walk to his kitchen

I made my way to his couch and sat down. Oh, this couch is comfy. I wonder where he get it. I should get it too at home. Speaking of home, I wonder how are they. My thoughts were cut short by woozi.

"What you're doing here in shadow valley?" He ask as I could see him brewing tea from where I'm seated

"I'm here to find a cure for you guys as well as finding out the legend of the golden hybrids," I told him

"Interesting. If you think that you're going to enter shadow nest looking like that, you'll be lunch for the shadow hybrids," he said as he enter the living room with a tray

"Aren't you a shadow hybrid too?" I ask as I took a sip of tea

This tea is amazing. What kind of tea is this?

"A newly turn. I still have my morals. I have three days before I lose it all,"he sighed, upset with his predicament

"If you don't mind me asking, how did you manage to put yourself in this kind predicament?" I ask, curious

"I was running away from my family and I stumble upon shadow valley by mistake. Anyway, I'm gonna help you get to shadow nest. How long do you have?" He ask

"I have less than 24 hours to find the answers," I told him

"Not much time. Shadow nest isn't guarded. Lucky You," he said as he went to grab a bag in the corner

"How is it Lucky?" I ask as I followed him

"You see. You would think that considering that it is the heart of the shadow valley, someone would guard it. Wrong, no one can even enter the heart unless they are newly turn or human," he explain

He kept walking throughout his house collecting items off his table and shelf.  It looks like he is preparing for war.

"Why the newly turn?" I question

"Newly turn hybrids are still getting used to the dark side but they're heart are still pure so the heart would allow entry but once we enter, we turn good. As for You, you'll be revealed as a human," he said

"That's what you mean by me being hybrid lunch," I said

After a while he faced me and pulled me out of my seat. He drag me to the front door as soon as I'm out, he locked his doors.

"Yes, we better go now. If you want to find those answers. I know a way for us to enter the heart without anyone spotting us," he said as we carry on walking

"How much do you trust me now?" He Ask

Oh god, what is he planning?

Like promised I updated the next day and sadly, its a cliff hanger 😁. Not to worry, the next following chapters will be an adventure for juilet.
