Nat POV
I smile and open the door to the house to see J'Jaye asleep on the couch. I shut the door before walking towards her, "J'Jaye." I whisper in her ear and she opens one eye before closing it again. "J'Jaye," I repeats and she whines before rolling over.
"No," she says and I giggle before climbing on top of her which makes her whine. "Nat, I'm trying to sleep." J'Jaye mumbles and I kiss her forehead,
"Are you sure you don't wanna watch a movie with me? Or go on a walk outside?" I ask and she shakes her head,
"I wanna sleep." She says and I smile,
"Wanna go on a walk?" I ask and peck her lips,
"You're not gonna quit asking until I say yes are you?" She asks and I smile,
"Wanna go on a walk?" I ask and she sighs,
"Fine." She says and I get off of her and run upstairs and grab one of J'jayes jumpers. "Ah-ah! Where do you think you're going with that?" She asks and I smile,
"To wear it on the walk because it smells like you." I say and she smiles and kisses my head,
"Fine. But no stealing it." She says and I walk into the bathroom,
"Okay." I say I'm definitely stealing this one.
20 minutes later
J'jaye puts on her shoes and I grab her hand smiling and open the door. "Why are we going on a walk at 9: 30?" She asks and I smile,
"It's a surprise." I say and I shut the door as we start walking away from our house.
"Nat."
"J'Jaye." I say and she grabs my hand,
"Why can't we just sleep?" She asks and I smile,
"Because... because I have a surprise for you." I say and J'Jaye whines,
"I just want to sleeeepppp." J'Jaye says and I kiss her cheek,
"I know you do but this is a good surprise and you're gonna like it." I say and J'Jaye whines, "oh stop whining you big baby." I say and she whines again, "J'Jaye." I say and she smiles,
"NatNat." She says and I roll my eyes,
"Stop. Whining." I say and she sticks her tongue out, "I could just take a picture of you right now-"
"NOPE!" She shouts and I giggle before we cross the street, "where are we going?" She asks and I smile,
"It's a surprise." I say,
"Everything's always a surprise. Why can't I just know one thing before you say 'It's a surprise'?" She asks and I giggle,
"Because you love surprises." I say and she shakes her head,
"That's a lie."
"Well you love my surprises." I say and she smiles,
"You're right, I do love your surprises." She says and I smile,
"So stop complaining." I say and she glares,
"Don't tell me want to do Paris." She says and I smile,
"Oh so you're using my last name are you?" I ask and she nods.
A few minutes later
I smile as we arrive at our destination. A field surrounded by trees and fairy lights. "What do you think?" I ask and she smiles,
"It's really pretty. Is this what you were doing?" She asks and I nod,
"I thought we could do a little date night or something." I say and she nods and runs towards one of the trees. "Wait up!" I shout and run after her.
10 minutes later
I laugh as J'Jaye makes a weird face. "J'Jaye." I say and she looks at me,
"Yeah?" She asks and I stand up, I grab her hands and pull her off of the ground and I could see Millie and Maiya holding there phones ready to take pictures. Millie runs out of a bush and climbs up a tree, I smile and pull J'Jaye in the middle of a circle of trees. "What are you doing?" She asks and I smile,
"J'Jaye, I love you so so so much. And, you're amazing and incredible. I knew that I wanted to be with you since you told me you loved me for the first time." I say and I could see a few tears in J'Jayes eyes, "I want to be with you for the rest of my life, I never want to be away from you, I just want to be around you all the time and be in your arms all the time, I want to hold your hand 24/7, I want to have kids with you. I wanna watch you smile and laugh and giggle, I wanna see you be happy, I just want to love you for the rest of my life. So, Jarneia Richard-Noel-" I get down on one knee and pull the ring out of my pocket and she brings her hands to her mouth and starts crying, I see Millie hanging upside down on a tree and taking pictures. "Will you marry me?" I ask and she nods.
"Ye-yeah." She says and I smile and put the ring on her finger. I stand up and she hugs me,
"WOO HOO!" Millie screams and J'Jaye turns around,
"Why are you everywhere?" She asks and Millie falls off the tree. "Holy-"
"I'M FINE!" Millie exclaims and runs over to Maiya,
"You're here too?" J'Jaye asks and Maiya nods as Millie helps her out of the bush,
"I was dragged here, I didn't want to be here but I got some cute pictures." Maiya says and Millie glares and shows her, her phone.
"I got the better pictures." Millie says and runs over to show me.
"Oh she definitely got the better pictures." Maiya says and I nod. J'Jaye kiss my cheek and hugs me again.
"I love you so much." She says and I smile,
"I love you more." I whisper and she shakes her head,
"No."
"I'm not gonna fight over this with you again." I say and she smiles,
"So you agree-"
"No." I say and she giggles.
