Mary POV
I glare at Elizabeth as she whines. "Can you shut up? I'm trying to find a book." I whisper and look at the books on the shelves,
"Well could you be any slower? I wanna go home!" She exclaims and Edward walks in with his bag,
"Come Lizzie, I wanna go home too." Edward says and Lizzie walks over to Edward and they start walking away.
"I'll be home soon." I say and Edward nods before walking out. I look around and I finally found the book I was looking for and I pull it out to see a girl getting ready to grab it. "Oh. Sorry." I say and she gives me a small smile,
"I-It's fine." She says and she sighs and walks over so that she was on the same side I was. "That's a really good book." She says and I nod, "I-I'm Jane Grey." She says holding her hand out, I smile and shake her hand. "Well actually I like Janie."
"I'm Mary," I say and she smiles a little, I hold the book out to her. "Y-you can have it." I say and she looks at me,
"Are you sure?" She asks and I nod, she puts her hand on the book and I blush slightly before letting go. "I-I should probably go." I say and she nods, "I'll see you around Janie." I say and she nods,
"Bye Mary." She says and I walk away to the counter.
At home
I stare at the wall and think about Janie. She was beautiful. "Hellooooo? Mary!" Mom exclaims snapping her fingers in front of my face, I look at her and she laughs. "What are you thinking about this time?" She asks and I shake my head,
"N-nothing." I stutter and Anne smirks, "stop smirking." I say,
"I think she has a cruuussshhhh." Anne teases and Lizzie nods.
"Definitely. She's been staring at a wall smiling for 20 minutes." Lizzie says and Mom looks at me,
"So-"
"Ah! Well would you look at the time? I-I think it's time for me to go w-walk my-my um um, my plant." I say and run upstairs,
"Why is your face red?" Mae asks and I smile,
"No reason," I say and walk into me and Lizzies room.
2 days later at school
I open my locker and Lizzie whines. "Would you quit your whining?" I ask and she shakes her head and leans against me,
"I'm so tireddddd." She whines and I move so that she falls, "Mary!" She exclaims and I shut my locker and I feel someone tap my shoulder. I turn around,
"Janie?" I ask and she waves,
"Hi!" She says and I give her a small wave,
"Uh hi." I say and she holds up the book,
"You can have this. I finished it." She says and I smile before taking it, "just don't loose it." She says and I nod,
"I won't." I say and Lizzie smirks,
"I'll see you in math."
"What?" I ask and she smiles,
"We have the same math class." Janie says and I nod and snap my fingers.
"Yeah. Yeah I remember now." I say and she waves and walks away. I blush mire and turn around look at Lizzie.
