Mary POV
I roll over and look at Janie who was going through my books. "You better not be throwing any of those away." I say and she sets one next to her,
"I'm not." She says and I get off my bed and sit down next to her. "Can I just borrow one? One that you don't like that much?"
"I love all of my books." I say and she sighs,
"Yeah but you have like 1,000 books. There has to be one that you don't like that much." Jane says and I shake my head,
"Why do you want one of them?" I ask and she smiles,
"Because I'm doing something." She says and I give her a look,
"What is this something your planning on doing?" I ask and she smiles,
"Oh y'know, just a date night." She says and I smile, "which is why I need one of these books so pick one that you don't like or I'll take one of the Harry Potter-"
"Not Harry Potter!" I exclaim and she picks one of them up.
"I'll buy you a new one." She says and pecks my lips, I smile and she boops my nose.
"No boops." I say and she does it again,
"Yes boops." She says and I roll my eyes, "I'll be back." She says and I wave as she walks out.
Later that night
Janie puts her hands over my eyes. "Janieeeee." I whine and she giggles,
"Well if you would have kept your eyes closed I wouldn't be doing this." She says and she opens a door,
"Well I'm impatient. Date nights are the best night!" I exclaim and she laughs and takes her hands off my eyes, I gasp and look at the room. Fairy lights, rugs, blanket fort, popcorn, and a bunch of movies. I hug Janie and she hugs back, "it's so pretty." I say and I stop hugging her and go into the fort.
"I forgot your present! I'll be right back!" She exclaims and runs out, I smile and start looking through the movies.
10 minutes later
I smile and Janie tries to throw popcorn in my mouth. "Oh come on!" She exclaims and I laugh,
"One more time-" I cut myself off with laughing, "this ones it." I say and she throws the popcorn and I miss it on purpose.
"Mary! You missed it on purpose that time!" She exclaims and I take a piece of popcorn from the bowl and eat it. "Again!" She exclaims and I open my mouth and she throws one in. She cheers, "finally!" She shouts and I giggle and peck her cheek. I hug her and she sets the popcorn aside before hugging me,
"Can we actually watch one of the movies now?" I ask and she nods, I grab a blanket and wrap it around me and we start paying attention to a movie.
3 1/2 movies later
I laugh at something stupid Janie said and she starts laughing. "I-I can't breath," I say and she continues to laugh,
"Well breath." She says and I laugh more. "Okay, okay." She says and stops laughing, I try to catch my breath and she smiles. "Can I give you your present?" She asks and I nod, Janie grabs what used to be my Harry Potter book and she grabs a flashlight,
"Why do you have a flashlight?" I ask and she smiles,
"Open the book." Janie says and I open it to see two girls holding hands. "So that's me and you." She says and she gets behind me and shines the flashlight on the picture.
"Awwwww," I say and she smiles,
"You like it?" She asks and I nod,
"I love it." I say and she hands me another book,
"And here's to replace for that one." She says and I smile before looking at the picture of us.
"How long did this take you?" I ask and she shrugs,
"A few hours. But it was worth it." She says and she kisses my cheek.
"Janie," I say and she looks at me,
"Yeah?"
"I love you." I say for the first time and she smiles before hugging me,
"I love you too." She whispers and I giggle before kissing her head.
