Janes POV
2 weeks after the kiss
I walk alongside Cathy and Anne runs over to us and kisses her cheek making Cathy blush. Also yeah, Anne and Cathy got in the same group and Anne kissed Cathy and now they're dating. I wish that happened to me and Catherine. She won't talk to me, she won't even look at me let alone get in within 4 feet of me. I messed it up, I messed everything up. "JANE!" Cathy exclaims and I look at her, "finally you zoned out! We get to go home now, it was a half-day" Cathy says and I nod.
"O-oh yeah. I'm just gonna walk home, I'll see you later." I say and walk away from her and Anne.
At Jane's house
I sit down on my bed writing in my journal, I groan and set it aside. "Jane? What's wrong?" Elizabeth asks and I look at her and shake my head,
"It's nothing," I whisper and Elizabeth sits on my bed.
"I'm pretty sure it's something because you haven't been acting like yourself ever since you came home from the field trip," she says and I run my fingers through my hair.
"It's just... there's this girl at my school and I really like her, she's one of the cheerleaders. Cheerleaders and nerds don't mix well. We got paired in a group at the field trip and we were kinda friends, felt like I had known her all my life. I felt comfortable talking about anything and everything with her. I have never felt like that, and then I did something dumb. Really really dumb. I messed everything up, now she won't look at me, she won't talk to me, she doesn't even get within 4 feet of me," I say and Elizabeth sighs.
"The only thing I can say is try to talk to her or something. If she's a cheerleader there's gonna be a game on Friday, maybe you could try talking to her after the game," she says and I smile.
"That's a good idea, thank you, I mean it." I say and she hugs me,
"It's fine," she says and Margery walks in.
"Mama said to tell you that food's ready!" She says with a smile, I stand up and pick her up and walk downstairs with Elizabeth following me.
Later that week
It's Friday. Now only to find Catherine. I run over to Cathy and Anne, "Have you guys seen Catherine?" I ask and Cathy shakes her head,
"She's at the library, she should be here soon though, the games about to star-"
"I'm here!" Catherine exclaims and she sees me and then looks away from me quickly,
"Kat needs help with the last part of the thing, I've tried but apparently I don't yell at her when she gets it wrong so it's not helping her," Anne says and Catherine nods and goes to walk away but I grab her hand and I already feel the butterflies.
"I-I need to talk to you,"
"Jane I'm busy please let go of me," Catherine says and I shake my head.
"N-no, I need to talk to you right now," I whisper and Cathy kisses Anne's cheek as she runs over to her brother and Cathy runs over to Kat and Anna.
"What? What do you want?"
"I like you, I really really like you. I'm sorry that I didn't ask if I could kiss you and I'm sorry that I did. I made a mistake and I'm hop-"
"I'm dating Authur now,"
"Authur as in Authur number 7 on the football team?" I ask quietly and she nods,
"I don't like you. I never did, I never wanted to be with you and I don't know where you got that idea from but get rid of it because it's not happening." Catherine says and walks away from me, I feel the tears brimming in my eyes and I sniffle and just sit on the bleachers next to Elizabeth. She looks at me and I shake my head,
"Sh-she never liked me," I mumble and she hugs me.
Heyyyyyyyyyy, I'm assuming that a few people are going to want me to write a part 3 and fix this so... is that something you mini tortules would want me to do or nah-
