Bruce shouldn't have been walking out alone in a town like this. He knew that. Especially when it was pitch black and he had nothing on him for protection.
Gotham when it was night went either one of two ways; the first way was it was loud. It would be loud from parties or from crimes happening, and it was just chaotic and hectic. Bruce avoided going out at night when it was loud- he could be struck at any moment from someone coming back from a party.
The second way was it was quiet. People would be cooped up in their old homes and their lights would be off and there was no chaos. It was better when some of the street lamps when out because then he could look up and almost see the stars in the sky.
And tonight, it was a quiet night. And Bruce shouldn't have been walking around alone and unarmed, but he was too caught up in the breeze of the night and nothing seemed wrong.
Nothing seemed wrong until he was pushed into a wall head first.
