CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

“Long time no see, James!”

“Kumusta, Blair?” We hugged each other.

“I’m doing good, happily married.”

“About that, sorry, hindi ako nakapunta.”

“No, no. It’s okay, I understand, you know. Tara, let’s go inside.”

“Welcome to our home.”

“Asan pala si Anton?”

“Spain. Something happened, so ako lang mag-isa dito.” Ayaw ni Anton na ma-stress ako kaya hindi na niya ako sinama.

Iniisip niya sigurong buntis na ako.

“By the way, Blair,” I looked at him. Dami nang nagbago sa kanya. “what’s for lunch? I’ll cook for you, if that’s okay.”

I nodded.

“What will you cook for today?”

“What do you want?”

“I’m craving for something sweet and spicy, is it okay?” He nodded.

“James, wait!”

“Hmm?”

“Can you also cook something na salty?” He laughed.

“What? Why?”

“I don’t know. I’m actually craving for those.” Weird.

“Thank you, James!”

“Nope. You’re kind of weird today, something happened ba?”

“Nothing naman.”

“You don’t eat salty foods, remember?” I rolled my eyes.

“It’s weird, yes.”

“I think, you should...” He nervously chuckled. “Take a test? I don’t know how you call that, that white thing where two red lines will appear.”

I laughed and decided to go to the bathroom. May pregnancy test kit sa cr because Anton and I are always prepared.

“James...”

“How was it?”

“Well, uh...”

I am pregnant.

“James, samahan mo ‘ko.”

“Where we going, bb?”
